  4. You probably did not do ANYTHING wrong! You're body went through a lot, and has to readjust it's normal rhythms. If you are truly concerned, my dear, call your Dr's office and ask those questions. Bypass date 3.19.13 CW 254 GW 145

  25. I am on 6th day of pre-op liquid Protein diet. So far so good...2nd day was toughest, but I made it through. The EAS carb control shakes are actually quite tasty...rich dark chocolate is my favorite - they are 17 gms protein, 3 carbs. I can also have 1% -2% cottage cheese, cream Soups, and Greek yogurt. Having those what they call "full liquids" is really helping to make it easier! Bypass date 3.19.13 CW 254 GW 145

  29. The liquid diet is first and foremost to reduce the size of your liver, so that it can be easily moved aside during the surgery. According to my reading materials, it's also to promote rapid weight loss, and to soften up the belly fat. I also feel that it's good practice for my mind having to learn that I won't be putting that much food in my mouth again. I think you might be in danger of having your surgery cancelled if you can't be compliant with the liquid diet. I am in day 2 of that, and it IS tough! BUT - if I can't follow this regime for 2 weeks BEFORE my surgery, how would I ever be successful for a lifetime AFTER my surgery?
