I'm officially 24 hours out of surgery. My first 24 was pretty miserable due to the gas pains. Pain causes nausea. I feel much better now. Still a little discomfort, but otherwise good. It all made it so much better. because my surgeon is one foxy dude. :-) lol lol

I am two weeks out and get hungry. Starving actually. The thing is' date=' if you get enough Protein and fluids, one should eat only three times a day. And, they are VERY small meals.[/quote']

Are you drinking while you eat? That's rule number one for me. I'm not to drink for half an hour before during or sixty minutes after eating.

I'm drinking diet no sugar added Swiss miss hot chocolate with skim milk! Great way to get in protein cuz it's delicious!

My rule: 30 minutes before or after and yep, I follow this rule. I was just saying that yes, I do get hungry when it's time to eat. I did not at first, but do know.

Weeelllll' date=' you seasoned vets!!! You post op peeps... have you any suggestions for those of us who are still waiting on our days? Things we should bring to the hospital, any suggestions at all?!! LOL!! I'm so excited for you all! My surgery was approved today so I can hardly contain myself! I think I'll use my excitement to fuel a good workout.

I'm having trouble keeping anything down- including meds. I'm 2 days post op. yesterday I did ok with liquids but today not so much. Anybody else?

Anyone's hair on their head starting to feel a little course? My hair and teeth feel funny....I just showered and scrubbed my hair twice with cleansing shampoo. I expect it to fall out but not feel like crapola...

I did have trouble the first 2 days but they gave me a prescription for Zofran and it made a huge difference...

Tomorrow I'll be in surgery! Only 52 days from start of the process to surgery. I'm taking that as good omen that this is meant to be! I'm hoping to update when up to it from my shiny new IPad!
