Fabulous February Post-Op's

Recommended Posts

It was popcorn' date=' which I've had several times in the last weeks with zero issues. Maybe a had too much, I don't know. And I've puked way too many times to count since surgery and while its not fun I know that wasn't dumping. This however, was. I wanted to die the way I do after a night of too much partying! That includes the sleeping on the bathroom floor part lol[/quote']

Damn passed out on the bathroom floor without the fun part before. That's just wrong!!! Glad you're feeling better! If it's anything like my big dump you're gonna be exhausted all stinking day :/

Is anyone having difficulty sleeping more than 6 hours? Pre-surgery I slept 9 hours easy. Now I'm lucky if I sleep 5-6 hours. Strangely I am not exhausted during the day and waking up at 5 is great for taking an early walk.

I wish I knew... Between cats feuding (If I lock them out of my room they meow so loudly to be let in that they wake up my kids, and they let them in my room, and then the party begins) and my weird work schedule, I feel like I never get enough sleep. On days I don't work, I wake automatically at the usual time, then usually fall back to sleep for another 4 hours. Some days I have gazillions of energy, other days you could mop the floor with me.

I do think a lot of it depends on what I eat. I just realized it's been long enough that I can be eating fresh salads, and I had a large organic baby greens salad with slivered almonds and Paul Newman Spicy Peanut dressing. ZOMG! I was in heaven! So far my stomach isn't hating me... we'll see if I manage to sleep through the night!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
