Frustrated morning I guess

Recommended Posts

I am 9 weeks post op and I am down 34 lbs. SD was 12-7-12 and I weighed 283 today 249. I feel great knowing that being that I am losing!!!

I am sure I am not getting ALL daily Protein in but its still a work in progress. For the past month I have worked out 5 days/week.

Is this an average weight loss or should I have lost more? I guess I am feeling a bit like my progress is slow and I am not going to be where I want to be by the time 6 months get here in this rapid WL phase.

I am slowly losing. I am3 months post op. I went whole month of December without losing anything. Lost 4 pounds first week in February and haven't lost any this week at all. It is scary when you see people saying 6 months for the majority or rapid weight loss. I still have about 80 more to lose. I don't see inches either. I went close shopping because I noticed the 16's were a little baggy so went to try on smaller size nope!!! Wont fit so had to get size 16's again. It is disheartening and yes I get angry because my surgeon strictly told me I would lose 100 pounds in the first 4 months.

I'm 7 months post op, I lost a total of 72 pounds , I been at 150 since Nov, my scale won't move, only goes up 4 pounds when I'm on my period. I been sticking to the small meals and working out. The doctor told me its normal to stall, I went from a size 17 to a 7/8.

We all need to realize that we have to let our bodies decide. Its going to take time, and there is going to be a point when we stop losing. We can just keep up with the plan and let our body sort out the rest.

You are so right my surgery told me stop trying to lose 10 more pounds . He tells me I look great at 150 , I'm happy with my weight I'm just trying to tone up now and I'm sure that will get me to my goal of 140...

You are right! I am going to of course stick with it. I just woke up this morning feeling blah and as if I was not losing enough. But losing is better than gaining. I have lost this weight so far because I have been doing what I am supposed to. So the scale will catch up! Im just going to keep at the program and remain positive. Thanks for your message

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
