okay my surgeon finally has all my records and they are reviewing it to submit to insurance! They will call me when they hear back. woot woot! on a fun note, I got the sample pack i ordered from MyBariatricPantry.com! I've tried the strawberry Kiwi Syntrax Nectar and it's not bad. at least I know it's palatable--seems like everyone's taste buds change so much post-op. It could be a welcome change from those creamy vanilla Protein Shakes after a while, especially as the weather turns warmer. it takes a lot like a crystal lite drink. I got the ten bag sample pack, which included for me: Cappuccino, lemon tea, pink grapefruit, Twisted cherry, Roadside Lemonade, apple ecstasy, vanilla bean torte, crystal sky(fruit punch I think), and strawberry mousse. I asked for no chocolate since I'm allergic. I also got two big jars of Matrix Strawberry Cream and Orange Cream. last I got a Click vanilla latte Protein Drink pack 'cause Eggface likes it so much. new things are so fun to try!--At least pre-op they are. sounds like it may be a scary proposition after RNY what with dumping and whatnot. I hope everyone is having a good week. Hang in there!

That's awesome. Good for you. I'm glad your on your way. Will it be in March or April? My surgeon's office called me this morning. They have reviewed all my tests/workup to submit to insurance. However, my insurance company in RI requires me to have 3 consecutive nutrition visits. I've had two, so my next is March 4...Then we are on our way. She told me to call the office the day of my visit and they will make sure we are a go!!! Woot Woot!!!! :)))

even worse - while I’m complaining - Isopure - pineapple/orange/someotherbarf flavor - that is hideous....i might just toss out the giant container while hubby isn’t looking.

Hahahaa!! I was afraid of that one--I'm not usually a fan of fruit punch.

Yeah, Click is the brand name. It's got a rich espresso flavor. If you're a coffee lover you should give it a try!

I've tried the green apple and strawberry kiwi both were good the people that work there are really helpful and have all had some type of Bariatric surgery do the know what we are going through the owner started the company 5 years ago after having surgery with my Dr Richards and had said no one sold samples you had to buy a big tub and if you didn't like it you were stuck with it cause it happened to her not be able to sample flavors before buying large costly before you knew what you liked. I was told there big seller was the Matrix Cookies & Cream They have an an sum staff and are so helpful and ship quick

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
