if you had to complete a 6 month diet

What were your diet and exercise goals?

How much weight did you want to lose per month and by the end of the 6 months

I lost - I gained - I’m so glad that’s OVER.

For ME - No real goals - each person is so different - your NUT and Dr will dictate - most of all they want to make sure your ready - can stay on a program and your serious (IMHO)

They didn't make you make goals? I just started my 6 month diet last week, and he said the next time I come in, which is next week-I need to bring my food and exercise log, plus my diet and exercise goals with how much weight I want to lose in such in such time.

I am trying to think of a realistic number. Last week it's been just tracking what I eat, now I am going to track how much I eat as well. It's hard because while I'm doing this I am also having my 'food funeral' too.

Wow, that's a lot more involved than my PCP got. I would say a realistic goal is 1-2 lbs a week.

The only goal I had was set by my surgeon.

I only have 6 weeks left of my 6 months and the surgeon is having me lose 15 pounds.

I am working with the nutritionist and she writes down all my information on each visit and sends it with my insurance packet.

One I have my pre-op with the surgeon he will then go over my weight loss with my nutritionist.

I did a 6 month "diet" if you want to call it that. I mostly remained the same weight through the 6 months minus a 3 pound weight loss, then re-gain. I didn't go hardcore dieting. I could have, but didn't. I used that time to mentally prepare for the surgery. I also used that time to enjoy the foods I wanted to have in moderation (somewhat) because literally after the surgery (and it comes fast), you will not be able to eat the same things again, and you will mourn those foods...trust me. It's all up to you. I have no regrets!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
