Ahaha!!! I just found myself thinking "maybe I should shave my legs if I'm going to be wearing those skimpy gowns" lol silly I know!

Don't do it. I did and when you bath with the soap they give you preop it stings and causes red bumps

To Montage:

You have numbness around your incisions b/c your nerves have been cut. They need time to regenerate. It should come back in a couple of months. I do have one old incision however that some spots the feeling never came back. your arm though is a different story. Unless it's where the IV was maybe :-)

6 days post op and still on Clear Liquids and so far I haven't killed anyone. I'm gonna say this was a good day ;)

Best wishes to you guys having surgery tomorrow. May the fart gods smile kindly upon you in the coming days. I'm pretty sure I read that in a fortune cookie or something.

Surgery Tuesday and I am scared and nervous....no sleep in my future I can already tell

You are going to do great. I was exactly where you are one week ago. I had mine last Tuesday. I only slept a bit the night before thanks to Ambien...I had some trouble sleeping because I was so hungry....And nervous. Just think, in one week it will be behind you and you will feel so much better. Best of luck to you on Tuesday. It's normal to be scared and nervous. If you have any good sleeping pills I would take one Monday night.

I am so very excited to share my progress with you today. It is amazing what a difference no insulin makes in my weight loss. I weighed last on Wednesday because I had weighed at the doctor’s office on the Wednesday before that and wanted to see what a week did. I lost 8 pounds that week. I switched it to Monday today because my surgery is on Monday in a week so that way I will be on track for Mondays from now on. Long story short (I know, too late) from Wednesday to Monday – 5 days – I have lost 14 pounds. That is 27 pounds on the pre op diet in two weeks and 10 pounds prior to that for a total of 37 pounds all together. Thank you all for your continued prayers.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
