have to lose 50 lbs in 2lbs in 2 mnths or no surgery any advice

Recommended Posts

wow that seems a little unrealistic to have to lose 50 lbs in 2 months. I would go on some sort of 2 meals of Protein Shakes and then one healthy meal. But seriously that seems crazy.

Be careful... 50 pounds in 2 months is hard to do after surgery, let alone before. If you don't get enough calories your body will go into starvation mode and you won't lose anything. Look into seesaw dieting or shredder program. It's about eating more calories one day and then a lot fewer the next so you won't hit starvation mode. Good luck!! Sure they'll let you go forward if you get close :)

They told me with how much I weigh now 50 is the amount I have to lose on order to be approved for the surgery so no I don't hit 50 I well have to wait even longer for surgery

Once I lost from 242 to 192 in just under 2 months. Another time I lost 38 lbs in 6 weeks doing HCG. Of course I've gained it all back but it is possible. Don't stress about it. Stress will certainly stall weight loss. Try losing as much as you can and try to relax.

You should find a new doctor that doesnt have such a strict requirement, i didnt have to lose any weight to have the surgery.....if we could lose it so easily we wouldnt need the surgery.....

I thought maybe it was an insurance requirement. Yeah if it's just that doctor search around. I went to a couple before I found the doctor I felt comfortable with.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
