I haven't bought beef burger in years. We have used turkey burger for everything that takes hamburger. I had foster kids and they never knew the difference. Family or friends over and they had turkey burger and never noticed the difference. I don't buy the rolls of it' date=' never tried them. I buy it as you would regular hamburger in the square styrofoam tray.

It's awesome!!!

I LOVE turkey burgers! They are a little softer than beef burgers, but taste great. I prefer them over beef.

This is Breakfast, but I thought I'd share. Just made something ever so yummy. Mixed an egg with a tablespoon of cottage cheese and bit of shredded cheddar cheese, scrambled it and then added a wedge of Laughing Cow Garlic & Herb, which kind of melted into it. I'm still in mushies, so this was the perfect texture. AND 19g Protein.< /p>

In my Sam's Club I found chicken patties that have grilled onions and Swiss cheese in them. They are fully cooked...just brown and eat. They are delicious and have 180cal, 10gfat, and 20g Protein in a patty

What name or manufacturer does it say on the package?

There is a lot of difference on here on what food is permitted by everyone's doctors. A few of us' date=' it seems, have doctors who don't allow bread, rice, Pasta (even whole wheat), popcorn, crackers, etc. My doc says to keep carbs as low as possible so I don't eat any of those things. However, I do think most people can have some carbs. Hope that helps.

Thx. I just learned from my doc I'm not allowed bread, pasta, or rice for 3 months because it expands in ur pouch after u eat it.

Agreed100%!!!! I'm here because I need someone that understands. Even if its just the daily frustration of obesity or the funky post-op hormones' date=' or griping about my bat wings (which aren't so bad yet....but my inner thighs, oh lord have mercy...), y'all get me!!! I have a fabulous support system, my family, friends, and co-workers are all amazingly supportive, heck, even my patients are on board. But in the end, they haven't been here, they don't understand...

Let's face it... If any of us were so great with food choices , we wouldn't have needed the surgery. For me...this is my second opportunity at life and I'm not about to make the same choices as before. We will all have slip ups with food but we should be eatting healthy 90% of the time. Who are we to judge? I say focus on our own bodies and if someone on here needs to talk or wants advice than we should then offer our support, but no "beat up sessions".

I felt ok but no more sweet potatoes ever full of carbs!!! I try to only take in 60 carbs a day my doctor never said anything about carbs only Protein but even if I try to stay under 50 carbs I always seem to get between 75 and 100 carbs. No not every day but at least 3 times a week and it's tough. So I know I can't have any fruit way to much carbs. Beans or peas also loaded with carbs. Some other veggies like carrots squash carbs galore. Looks like its just meat and chicken and fish stuff.

I think Myfitnesspal has it out for me lol. I think I am doing good some days and boom it lets me down again.

Please add me as ur friend on fitness pal. I am pinkyisfabulosity

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
