Hi everyone Just got home. My banding experience has been great. I have no gas pains, Just a little sore all over as if I was catching the flu or something.

You have no gas pain!!! Lucky you!! I'm in pain over here! I can't get rid of this gas. I'm one of the few unlucky ones I guess. The pain in my shoulder is unbearable at times. I feel the gas grumbling around my body and I try very hard to burp or pass gas but I can't! I'm getting up to walk on the treadmill every half hour. Don't know what else to do! Help!

Hello all my April lapband friends. I have a question. And I am hopeing someone can help. :help: I weighed in on April 2nd at 212. Then a week later I weighed in and had lost ten pounds. Well today April 16 a week later and I weigh myself and I have only lost two pounds. I barely ecer eat. Is this normal? Can someone please tell me. I am so lost. Thank you Stacey

Ahhhhhhhh the pain in the butt HYDRATION pounds! Don't worry.. a flux that much is water??? Have you been keeping hydrated? Is is almost time for your period? (that is why most say to weight weekly instead of daily)

Thank you Tracy for your insight. No I am not drinking enough water. I will start doing that. And I have had a partial hysterectomy. So no time of month.

I am going to try the crystal light packets so I can get fired up about water. Thanks again. Stacey :)

The shoulder pain is hard to manage. I kept a heating pad on it, took my pain meds and moved whenever possible. Even when I was just standing in the kitchen or brushing my teeth, I was walking in place. I know that shoulder pain can be pretty intense at times. It won't last too much longer. Oh, are you taking extra strength Gas-X 4 times/day?? You must!

Don't forget SF popsicles!! They count, too! ;)

Crystal light is awesome. I was a carbonated soda-aholic and never thought I could give that up, but I drink CL Classic Orange exclusively now. I never, ever drank water plain so this is another healthy plus.. I'm finally getting my daily quota of water in and I'm loving it!

Teach, is the classic orange kinda like Tang? I love Tang!!

I use the CL to go packets. I make up 4 bottles of the stuff (easier to shake when it settles) and then drink it throughout the day. When the 4 bottles are gone, I have drunk my 8 glasses of water for the day.. waaaaa laaaaaaaaaa!

Sending prayers out for all those who will be banded tomorrow!! Smooth surgery and speedy recovery to each of you!!

Good Luck to all new bandsters this week! I returned to work today had surgery on 4/5. All went well except I am tired of liquids! I see the doctor on Thurs so hopefully he will allow me some more food.

I'm so sorry about the gas. Usually Murphy's law lives at my house but this time he moved on. I don't know what to tell you. Just hang in there!!

Have you tried gas-x?

Thanks for the advice. Today I was thinking that I needed to do something about the water b/c I'm not drinking enough. I guess I go tomorrow and look for it, I also love the taste of Tang. By the way, it looks like you are doing great, Teachlady, no complaints and always happy:D

I went back to work today, and I feel great the whole day. The best thing is, at school (i'm a teacher) they don't know that I just have the lapband, and two of my co-workers told me that it looks like I'm loosing weight:clap2: I told them that I was trying a new diet:heh: .

I guess I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop! I sailed through the surgery, never had any pain to speak of and no gas pain at all. I am sticking to my liquid diet.. have another week of clear liquids before I hit all liquids for 2 weeks and just look forward to adding foods back in, in moderation. I wanted this surgery so badly and am just thrilled that I finally got it and look forward to dropping the pounds. Remember.. attitude is 90% of the battle!!!
