Jan 14... My LUCKY day!

Revision Surgery scheduled Jan. 14, after a major FAIL with the lapband and I'm NERVOUS as heck. Starting to second guess my decision. But I KNOW it's for the best. Is there anyone out there that has a date close to mine, maybe we could become buddies and help eachother out along the way?? :)

You're luck' date=' my surgery isn't until 2:30 so have all day to worry if I've made right decision.[/quote']

The plan is for my surgery to be done laparoscopic, but there is a chance it will end up open. I am keeping my fingers crossed!

At least you will get to sleep in on Monday!!!

Well I'm up and at em early to begin the "cleansing" process. It's also my 1st day of just liquids. Revision surgery tomorrow. Going to be a long day today (but I've got this, I hope). Happy Sunday everyone and Go Texans! :)

I'm doing the same thing. Surgery Mon afternoon. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US going in tomorrow. Since the Broncos lost yesterday, were rooting for Texans too-feel like Kubiac (spelling) is one of our own.

Went great. Was definitely a big surgery. Stayed in the hospital for 2 days after surgery. Days 2-3 gas was horrible and made me feel bad but walking is the key!! Stay hydrated and focused!!

Alright all you band to bypass conversions!!!! Ya gotta keep me up to date on how you're doing. I don't know ANYONE in real life that converted so feel like I'm flying blind (surgery date 2/11/13)

Its great hearing your stories! Thanks for the encouragement! :)

Congrats! Good luck! Praying for you! :)

So far so good since my revision from band to bypass 1/14. I've been home several days, drinking my liquids, and taking long walks! My scale jumped about 10 pounds while I was in the hospital (I was mad even though I was expecting it), but I have lost all that and am down 3 pounds from my weight Monday morning. I am hoping that in a few more days I will see better progress as more of the swelling goes down and I lose the rest of this painful gas. The gas has been the worst part.

The pain with the conversion is well controlled with the drugs the doc prescribes and you can be up and moving around that first night. Overall, I am still shocked at how "easy" the whole thing was to go through.
