  1. I found Unjury protein ( the add is at the top of page) and it is wonderful. They have an unflavored and a cheese protein (cheese taste a bit like Kraft Mac & Cheese). It has no after taste that I can detect.. It is a bit pricey but has a 100% money back guarantee. Hope this helps. Their web address is UNJURY.com
  2. Boy my story is almost identical. I never get full and always hungry. I'm down from 254lb to (was) 205lb but am starting to gain. Kind of gave up on nutritionist, Dr and support group (I'm one year out). I had open surgery& 5 months later had another open surgery for bowel obstruction. Don't think I could stand another surgery if I have the same problem. I'm 72 yrs old & surgeries are getting harder to recover from. How did they find you're problem? Thanks for sharing!!
  3. Windy, how much have you lost? Windy, how much have you lost? I've lost 50 lbs but have been at this weight for about 5 or 6 mo. I'm at 204 and can't get below that 200 mark no matter what I do.
  4. Boy that is interesting. I've been on Prilosec for years and was really hoping I'd be able to get off of it after surgery, but haven't been able to. I have no dumping what so ever. Maybe will try to go off meds and see what happens. I hate to admit I need the dumping to help with self-control but I do.
  5. I'm 11months out and have always been able to eat anything, and also don't have the dumping. I've had an upper GI for a bowel obstruction and the pouch is there. Really frustrating
  6. I'm one of those that has stalled at 6 months out. I had Gastric Bypass Jan of this year and have lost 50 lbs and have 45 lbs to go. Can't get below the 200 lb mark--so frustrating!! Main problem I don't have dumping and I don't get full feeling and I don't have problems with any type of food. Any suggestions?

    Tired :(

My nutritionist said the fatigue is normal and your bodies way of telling you to rest and take the time to heal. I'm finally gradually getting back to feeling normal-still a ways to go-can finally walk for more than 5 min without having to lie down, but its been a slow process. Still get light headed. My surgery was Jan 14th.
  8. I had my GBP January 14. Was put on cardiac ward on 2nd day for very similar symptoms (not as severe). Rapid heart beat or A-fib. Put on a heart calcium Chanel blocker & blood thinner. Cardiologist thinks its temporary and did all kind of tests. Hope to be off meds in 2 or 3 months. Can relate to the extreme fatigue--just now getting stamina back. Good Luck and hang in there!

    Jan 14... My LUCKY day!

Had my pre-op Dr visit & blood work on Fri. for surgery on Jan 14th. Feel better about decision after talking to Dr Chae. Because it has to be open incision (could take 2-3 hours because they may have a lot of adhesions to deal with) and I'll be in hospital for 5-8 days. That was kind of a shock! Guess my biggest concerns are post-op complications. My nutritionist says not to do "The last meal of my life" thing but I'm kind of doing that. Going to try and be better on diet & exercise this last week. Wish me luck.

    Jan 14... My LUCKY day!

After bugging my Drs. Office for 2weeks (finally finished all my requirements) I got my surgery date of Jan. 14th. Don't know why but kind of threw me for a loop. I'm having a revision from a 27 yr old gastric stapling (they don't do it any more) so my surgery is an open incision and is more risky so I'm optomistic but wake up in the middle of the night concerned and excited. Is any one else having an open incision surgery?

    Jan 14... My LUCKY day!

I'm kind of in the same boat. I had gastric stapling 27 years ago and it has also failed. I'm waiting to get my surgery date but am hoping for Jan 14 or 21st. Feel the same NERVOUS as heck but am sure I'm making right decision and my husband is totally supportive. Would love to share and support each other--most others are 1st timers so have different concerns.
