  5. My RNY was 1/29/13 my wt loss was great at first then hAd a 5 week stall. Now my wt is loss is only 1 to 1.5 lbs. I'm scared this will slow more and stop before my goal. Has anyone else gone through this? I do keep a diary of my food and Protein levels.
  6. I'm 7 weeks post op and actually gained 1 lb this week! I feel like a complete failure. My husband thinks it is due to the fact I'm eating thinks like shrimp with light breading, wings with no skin, a two x two inch piece of chicken pram. Things just were tasting too bland. So, maybe I will never reach my personal goal even with bypass surgery.
  7. Yes,Yes,Yes! I also had my surgery on 1/29/13 and am totally afraid to get on the scale today. I have last 32lbs and am scared to death to see if I gained this week. Trying to get in all my Protein it feels like I'm eating way too much. The pressure is really getting to me.

  9. I also think the b12 and Iron is really helping. Finally, not freezing and can stay awake all day. I still feel like a nap after I exercise but feeling strong.
  10. Wow! Such a big change in a short amt of time.
  11. Thanks everyone, the advice really helped. I went and got several different Protein bars to try. Most have at least 15g of protien and under 4 g of sugar. I really want to speed up my weight loss to 5lbs a week instead of 3. Congratulations to Jerz on the pregnancy!

  13. I'm still not getting in enough protein. After six weeks post op you would think I would get it by now but NO. I didn't mind the protein shakes at the beginning but now I can't stand them. I am only getting in 30 to 40 grams a day. I have the feeling that is why I am only loosing 3lbs a week. Just don't feel like eating and nothing really tastes that outstanding. The thought of eating every 3 to 4 hours is so not working for me. Getting in the fluids is not bad except I forget sometimes. Thanks for letting me vent !

  16. Call your bypass surgeon and let him know what going on. Also DayQuil can make your heart race and make you feel like you are on speed.
  17. I'm actually taking B12 tabs everyday. I think the vitamins are kicking in now. I'm feeling alittle stronger and even walked 20mins on the treadmill today. Still took a short nap after dinner.

  19. Thanks! I'm finally starting to get a little more energy. Tomorrows goal is to start a walking program. I'll be 5 weeks post-op and feel a bit behind.

  21. I'm 1 month post op today and still have no energy to work out or even walk on a treadmill. Before surgery I was very active and had plenty of energy. I take all my vitamins, get in most of my protein goal and drink fluids constantly. Did anyone else feel this way?
  22. My surgery was 1/29/13 so I'm not an expert on any of this stuff. I would treat this like any other surgery that was causing problems, get a second opinion. Sometimes a fresh look can really help.
  23. I had my RNY 1/29 also, from what everyone is telling the gas,and loud stomach noises are normal. I have daily BMs but they are still loose as well. I think our GI systems are just saying" what the hell".It's really great talking to others that had surgery the same time as me!
