I am. It's better because my nutritionist said that I can have a cup of veggies and fish/ chicken/ salmon only 4 ounces for dinner... So I really don't be that hungry. I'm trying to drink the shakes by powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury so far I've only had the chocolate one it was good. I didn't care for the chicken Soup. Maybe I made it to hot

I very well might be starting my two week liquid diet on Christmas day. I fear the liquid diet more than the actual surgery! Lol...I'm serious!

Snow it gets better- after about 3-4 days you don't even crave foods. It is challenging though-- don't give up, keep your eye on the prize !

My surgeon doesn't allow any foods other than the opti fast shakes and Soups.

Day 2... Done. It wasn't so bad today. Having the Soup to look forward to for dinner was a nice treat. It's made me realize how much of my life has been centered on food or meals. Now I'm focusing on activities instead. It's hard, for sure, but I am determined to stick to it. I always, always cheat on diets. I want this to be the one I follow through on.

The powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury is good u should try that. Also my doct allowed me 4 ounces of Protein and a cup of veggies, because I get headaches. U should check into it. I use the shakes and Soups all day then the meat and veggies at night since I'm home with the family by then, an drink Water in between

I have to start my pre liquid diet on the 21st surgery the 31st. I was told liquid through the day and some sort of entree at night like the smart ones or lean cuisine. I think I would rather have lean beef or chicken with a good salad instead of those dinners. I already hate them from all the pastas and creamy sauces on them turns my stomach

Old Hippie Gal,

I think those frozen meals are a bunch of processed food with little nutritional value. Lean meats and fresh veggies would probably be a better option. I'm sure your surgeon wants you to watch portion size. Day 3 of all liquid diet for me! I lost 5 pounds in the first 2 days. Hopefully my liver is shrinking away for easy surgery.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
