I'm about ready to eat something I'm not supposed to just to see what happens

Gen :-)

Don't do it. I promise you will regret it. Dumping isn't fun. I would suggest you weigh twice a week and keep up with your Fluid intake annd output. You may be losing actual weight but retaining Water. Also watch your sodium.

Hi guys! Surgery went well but I feel like crapola. Still got my morphine drip but I think it's mostly gas. I wish it would pass already. They brought me my first "meal" but I'm having a hard time taking much in... Just don't feel like it ya know? Maybe a few more sips. Popsicles and cold stuff- not my friend! Can't believe how small the incisions are. Hopefully home tomo :) hope alls well!

Lola!!

So glad everything went well. It is uncomfortable, but you will do great! Hang in there, the first couple of days... Not much fun, but it gets better everyday!

I think your body will fight the process for a bit. It is holding onto whatever it can. Don't worry, I am sure the weight will start coming off. I decided to weigh only on Fridays because the day to day is up and down so much. It's hard to wait a week, but I think it gives better accuracy at where you are at. Good Luck. Don't be discouraged!! You got this!

I only weigh a couple times a week. It would be to discouraging to see that scale go up and down and up and down. So far everytime it has been down even if just by a little bitty bit. And that keeps me a bit saner.

I know this feeling too well. it's the only part of this whole ordeal I'm not liking. I've never had to layer up in a house that's on 70 degrees. normally my window is cracked open.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
