Thank you.

That is what I love the most that she looks like me. I looked at a picture the other day of me at my heaviest and I couldn't believe it. It's kind of hard to look at pics like that :-(

Hi December Peeps! Everyone seems like they are doing great. I'm down 65 pounds. My date was 12/20/12. I feel great. My weight is coming off slow and steady. I loose about 1 to 3 pounds a week. Love dropping a size! It's fun when I have to go shopping because nothing fits! Wishing you guys all the best!!

Yes, it's great going through this together. My surgery was 12/10/12 and I'm slow and steady, too. About 1-3 lbs per week. I feel great as well. So happy about this decision.

Forgot to say that I'm down 63 lbs and have about 15-20 to go. Not sure where I want to end up. I'm 5'6" and thought 150 might be good but I'm not sure anymore. Have to see! I do know that 150 is no longer overweight so that would be great!

I'm 5'6 as well. Down 77. Current weight is160 and I had a goal weight but I'm thinking it might be too small. When I started out, I wanted to hit 130 but I might bump it up to 140.

I got my results back from my bladder test. It is normal thank goodness. So just one more complication I need to have cleared up from the hysterectomy. I started working out after work today. Before hysterectomy, I worked out after work. But after, I thought I would go before. But I would end up not going due to time. So I'm back in the wagon, still getting 80+g Protein a day. I have dabbled with foods such as a toasted English muffin. I also had a slice of mushroom thin crust pizza. Stomach handled it well. I hope working out again 5 days/week will help me lose these last 20lbs.

Snow, is that you in that pic??? Wow what a difference. Awesome!!!

I wished more Decembers would pop on here and give us an update and a picture.

I am loving my new life, my boyfriend is more than I could have ever asked for, and my family. I am so grateful for this surgery. I feel great, look great and it shows in so many more areas of my life. Definitely more confidence!!! Huge plus.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
