Being able to wipe my behind without complications and back pain.

So I was drying off after my shower this morning and realized that drying certain hard to reach crevices is WAY easier then it was 2 months ago :D

Looking better

Feeling better

Enjoy hiking again

Travel with my husband

Fit on the back of his Harley

To not feel embarrassed or self conscious in public.

To have my husband be proud of me

To be more comfortable in the heat of summer and not DREAD it. And related to that - to be able to wear cool comfy summer things and enjoy beautiful weather. Maybe even fit in a bathing suit and go for a swim on a hot evening? THAT hasn't happened in literally YEARS!

And on then opposite end of the seasons - to button my coat and still be able to breathe. Maybe walk in a snowfall and not feel like I'm about to have a heart attack.

To live my life, not just endure it.

Lol well I can not wait to get there. Oh and I haven't seen my.lady in years

I heard that!!

I am already fantasizing about the "after surgery" sex with the hubby!

Looking forward to so so much but for starters...

Being able to wipe & reaching other vital areas to groom and maintain properly

Being able to shower without a shower chair because of 2 bulging discs in my back

Being able to shave my legs and it not half killing me twisting like a pretzel

Being able to get everything done in one shower (wash body/shave AND wash hair)

Being able to go from the couch & get into my bed without being out of breath

Being able to have clothes to wear not just pajamas

Being able to talk to someone after walking ANYWHERE

Being able to sit in a room full of people and NOT survey it to see if I am the biggest person in it

Being able to be comfortable because I'm constantly uncomfortable

Being able to be open with other people besides Doctors

Being able to wake up and move all day without constantly taking inventory of my aches and pains

Being able to say YES to everything (invites) because I can walk places and fit wherever..

I'm looking forward to:

BEING ABLE!!!

This is just the beginning for me...

I thought the same exact thing after my shower this morning. Shaving my legs is so much easier too. I will be at 4 weeks post op tomorrow. Looking forward to more new things to come.

I can't wait to have a standard size towel wrap around me with excess! I am tired of using/buying bath sheets.

Rollar coaster.

Water park rides.

tights or nylons NOT from Lane Giant.

anything BUT fragrances from Victoria Secret.

boots.

a belt.

i dream of a columbia jacket size “L"

wearing my husbands sweatshirt and having it too big

wearing a pair of stilettos and not looking like a beer keg on stilts.

Sorry but "Lane Giant" cracked me up so bad. I seriously never heard that before and I can't stop giggling.

I'm trying to tell you...when I could no longer clean my back side without ease, I knew something had to be done. I would almost get muscle cramps in my back every time

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
