So I'm 4 weeks post op tomorrow and have lost 22 lbs. I have been stuck at this weight for a week. Quite frustrating! I know 22lbs is a great achievement but it seems like such a slow go. Just had to vent!

I just broke my second stall. It's normal. Increasing, Protein, exercise and calories usually helps.

I thought I was the only one nmy weight loss is moving very slowly and a friend says ur dr is expecting u to have lost at least 50lbs since ur surgery, by my one month visit. Thats nuts to me I mean I lost 40lbs so far since I started the liquid diet and surgery. My friend keeps comparing her surgery from over four yrs ago with mine, drives me crazy our situations could not be more different. Ive lost 22lbs since my surgery two weeks ago.

I too am going nuts with a stall !!! I stalled for 1 1/2 weeks then lost a few pounds...now stalled again!!! Driving me NUTS!! I am doing all I can....just gotta wait and let my body adjust I guess. I want to be down at least 75lbs if not more by my next appt Dec 13th...that will be 4 months post op. I will increase my Protein, exercise and try more water....although i could float now!

Good luck to all the others with stalls.... hoping they break soon!

I am 6+ months post op and was in a stall for a month and a half without the scale moving at all !!!!! I increased the time and intensity of my exercise and the scale is on the move again :) My clothes were getting loose but the scale was not moving. But I'm good now and out of the slump :) Hang in there, change some things around, and get it moving again.

So I saw the surgeon today. He told me that patients that are converted from a band to rny don't get as great of weightloss compared to patients that have rny to start! Apparently with the band my metabolism has been slowed and will continue to stay that way unless I exercise more. My dietician also said that my average of 80-90 grams of Protein is too much. So now she wants me to stick to 60 grams. We will see if this helps with the stall!

Doctor is not expecting 50lb in the first month...while some people reach that, most do not. You are doing great! Don't worry or compare...everyone's metabolism is a lil different:)

You too? I find my self eating more like grabbing extra pretzel. Not eating the real food I eat healthy in that way but I'm snacking grabbing a piece of cheese or cracker all the time. I need to stop that lmbo. I do feel slimmer this week. I might have broke the stall let's see Monday.

I am 10 days out, was doing good then 4 days ago hit 217.5 only to have been stuck here! I am getting really mad that it's not moving!!! I can't work out but have been walking I can say I'm not getting my 60-80 grams of Protein bc it makes me so queasy. I am however trying to supplement with food as possible. Idk I really hope this starts moving again :(

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
