Hey everyone! My surgery was Oct 9th. So I'm one week preop. Everything has been going pretty smoothly. I stopped taking my pain meds three days ago. I just weighed myself and I'm 15 pounds down!

I read this and wanted to post it for my October surgery buddies, and for everyone else. It really hit home for me!

"The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own. No apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on, or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.” ~B. Moawad

Surgery was yesterday. Dr said everything went just fine! Gall bladder came out since I already had stones. I'm not good with being put out so all day yesterday I did nothing but sleep. Today I've been sleeping also but have been up and down to the bathroom. Honestly, I had more pain with my c-section than with this. Pain isn't bad. Hope to hear from you other 15th peeps!

Let us know how u make out! Will be thinking of you...

Hey everyone, I thought that I had posted that everything went well, and I got back home on Friday. So far I've been trying to take it easy and not do too much. I still have some pain but I do have meds for that.

How's everyone else doing?

Hello "Soontobehealthymom," I too was so happy that the surgery was not as bad as the 4c-sections that I've had. Thank The Lord cause I was ready for the worst and ended up better.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
