Congrats!!! Do you have the little pump of pain meds attached to you by IV. Everytime I pushed the button I would fall asleep about 15 minutes later for a couple hours at a time

I wish I did! Although sweet and caring I am not impressed with several things here! Very short staffed! Waited over an hour for pain meds!

congrats on your surgery. mine was yesterday morning and everything went great. no complications at all. I'm having no pain. just that pressure they said we would feel on top of the stomach. also ladies and gents don't forget to use the spirometer. keep those lungs expanding.

Ugh, sorry to hear that. I kept being reminded to push the button. They commented how little I used it. When I did use it I fell asleep. So was hoping you had that :-(

I was also reminded of the button. used it twice only to get some sleep since my room mate snores obnoxiously loud

I'm not sure how I did it, but I had a room all to myself. No room mates to talk to or worry about or to wake me up

Ooh... I had a room to myself and that wonderful pain pump. I pushed every 10 minutes surgery day and night and slept great. So sorry some of you are not getting good care. Home is coming up!

I agree about the care. When you are in pain for it to take an hour is ridiculous after surgery.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Things went well. They did discover I do have sleep apnea ( I was never formally tested!!) I am a little sore with some mild nausea but all in all doing well. I came home yesterday morning and was up 5 pounds from fluid, down 6 lbs this am.

I cannot believe it is done!! I am now focusing on my protein and fluids and walking. So far so good an occassional twinge of hunger but goes away as soon as I drink something!!

Yeah Zima. I also have sleep apnea which was one of the reasons I had this surgery, in hopes to get rid of it.
