I have a question too. I'm new to this board so I don't know about proper posting protocol. I had surgery on 9/4. I still can't eat. Everything I put in my mouth makes me sick. I evev switched toothpaste Is okay to just get used to things for a few day and just take Water ' date=' Vitamins and meds? Then start Protein shakes when I can tolerate water?[/quote']

Water is one of the hardest things to tolerate. You will feel better with the shakes or yogurt

I am not sure if this is where I post this..I apologize if not.. I have a question I'm due for my surgery on Wednesday...but have come down with a cough 2 days ago I'm doing everything possible to get better before Wednesday cause I'll be really disappointed if the surgeon decides reschedule my surgery..question is does anyone think he will or not? I'm really excited and I know I will be disappointed a bit. Thanks

He probably will cause it could mean u have an infection.

Anesthesiologist will be more apt to cancel you. its very unsafe to put you under with a cough. Chances of pnemonia. Plus coughing will hurt your pouch.
