Leggings are my BFFs right now. And today (drumroll please) I went into Fashion to Figure (a plus size store) and none of their smallest shirt fit right. I was only able to buy a pair of jeans from there. So I went into Forever21 (hated this store for a while' date=' could never find anything that fit me) and viola! I was able to buy 6 shirt size L. From 2x (sometimes 3x) to a Large!!!!! Woo freaking Hoo![/quote']

CONGRATULATIONS

Fantastic, ShrinkingDee! You are indeed shrinking and making wonderful progress. I bought a few pairs of smaller pants this weekend... mostly because I had to! Gotta have something to wear to work that isn't falling off and huge! I can't wait to be able to shop in "regular" stores and not be limited by the plus-size store selections. Keep up the great work!

Awww guys thanks. I'm tearing up here lol. It's a good feeling. It's these little accomplishments that really lift your spirits when you're in the dumps. We'll all be a bunch of hot and healthy mamas soon ;-)

All of u ladies are doing great! Today I was thinking that maybe after every 20lbs I lose I'll buy an outfit... Nothing crazy but just to kinda reward myself. I do have 22 pair of jeans vacuum packed but they're sizes 11-15 so until I get there I'll keep treating myself :). Leggings are the best though. I lost 10lbs so far in 7 days since surgery, my leggings aren't snug n e more :)

seriously was telliing my daughter this weekend that I am still wearing the same underwear from 114 lbs ago... looks like I have a pile of crap in my pants.lol!! I bought 2 pair of capris size 18 and 4 extra large shirts to wear to work and now they are too big... but I like most of you hate buyiing until I get where I need to be. I know I look bigger when I wear clothes that are too big for me. So its a catch 22. Definatly need to get some new underwear tho- :-)

My boss is a few sizes smaller than me and she had her surgery in July. She gives me a lot of her clothes for when I lose the weight. We work at a university so I get to inherit all of her school branded gear to wear. Much cheaper than ordering it from the bookstore!! That's a great idea about taking your bigger clothes to a support group and the resale shop!

Thrift stores and clearance racks will be my friend. I'm down over 40 pounds since I started this process but still don't have the confidence to even try on clothes in a store yet. Does anyone else find it frustrating how the same size differs depending on where you buy them? I'm looking forward to the day I actually like shopping for clothes. Slowly but surely it's coming :)

I know. I can wear xl-18....depending on how it's made and the material.

I plan on using thrift stores and good will till I'm at goal. Luckily I held onto a lot of smaller stuff so I am happy to be wearing my 2x stuff again! I'm down 53 lbs so far!

Thrift stores and Goodwill have saved me. I drop sizes so quick...I couldn't afford to pay full price. Also, clearance racks. It's a great feeling losing weight and dropping sizes....just wish I had more clothes!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
