Pre op education program - 1 class to go

Final two dietician meetings

Official insurance clearence

Chest X-ray

EKG

Blood work

** these must be done within 30 days of surgery**

Appointment with IVC filter doctor

IVC filter placed 3 days before surgery

Pick up incentive spirometer and surgery bag

So glad to hear your update!!!! So the walking helps a lot?? Do they limit how much you walk?

Very very much so I love it I think it takes the pressure off my tummy and moves the gas around hurting a little worse right now and my nurse told me I was faking lol I wish I was I so he has been making me wait like an hour after I call him ugh.

Thanks for the pic I was always wondering what it will look like? How are you healing? What do the gas pains feel like? I'm pretty nervous about the gas pains everyone seems to say they are pretty bad.

Your welcome didn't know if anyone would wanna see it but I know I wanted to know so I thought I'd let y'all know I'm healing okay there is one that keeps bleeding but they said it was normal because it is my dominate side. The gas pains stink bad it hurts to burp and it hurts not to ya know but warm broth works wonders!! An helps you burp and walking helps too!

Well my surgey was on monday and I'm doing good. First 2 days I was extremly painful, I have had 2 c-sections and had the lap band. And this surgery was the most painful. But I am so glad I did it. I hope everyone is doing well!

Glad to hear that everything went ok. Got to love those pain killers! Feel good

2 days post op... First day pretty painful 2nd not as bad. I was told that during my surgery Monday Dr.Hodges found that i had a hiatal hernia that was about to rupture. I had no idea. So it was a blessing my surgery was scheduled when it was. They repaired it and it is all good. I am sore now bit nothing that isnt manageable. Started my monthly on the 9th,surgery bloat from the 10th, so i have actually gained 3 pounds (up from 228 last wiegh in). So when swelling goes down,i am hoping that my body starts doing what it needs too. I am so excited for all of us. This has been a whirlwind of a week. Hugs to all. I appreciate this forum to get the support we all need.
