  1. Hey ladies, just a quick question my sister has Cigna and was considering WLS does Cigna cover the surgery or just a percentage?
  2. Just out of curiosity how old how are you? I'm 23 and doing the bypass. I was also under the the same impression about the sleeve. Just want to make sure i do the surgery that I will not regret in the end

  5. Mamiof3kids, that is terrible this was on your 13day diet?
  6. Nish, knowing your full with everything you eat gives me hope that it won't be as hard as I thought thanks
  7. It's good to know I have a surgery buddy, keeping in contact will definitely help me stay on track when I go through my liver shrinking diet as well as staying on track afterwards. is optifast protein powder? i really haven't started buying supplies but I know I need to soon. I was on a diet when i went through my eight week class but since then I have picked up some of my old habits.
  8. Welcome I totally understand where your coming from my sister is thin and I figured I would get lectured about taking the easy way out and what not. But actually she was behind me 100% it was actually surprising. Telling friends and family was the hardest for me but I have not had one person not be supportive. But at this point in your decision all you need is supportive people. Also, I bought the book weight loss surgery for dummies and it really helped me realize that nothing about having this surgery is taking the easy way out especially because there are so many risks you are taking. I hope this helps and good luck
  9. Thanks for the tip n congrats on the 10lbs lost. I will definitely make sure to drink enough fluids during that time. I start the diet on sept 12th. How have the past couple of days been for you? I hope better
  10. Welcome This place is a great support system. I haven't started my liquid diet yet so I can't answer your question.
  11. Yay good luck
  12. Finally got my surgery date September 25th is the day my life will change forever. I'm really nervous for my 13 day liver shrinking diet. Has anyone had to do it? If so was it hard?
  13. Aurora, Co my surgeon is Dr Chae
  14. As of right now my goal is anything below 200lbs but I'm sure it will change to less once I have the surgery
  15. Thank you everybody its amazing how welcoming you all are. This is really going to help me with my long term success. I will be sure to join the September surgery thread. I think the closer my surgery gets the easier it might be to tell friends. I should be getting my date on Monday (which is tomorrow)
  16. Hey everyone my name is Ramona, I will be getting my surgery date soon it will probably be the middle to late September. As of right now I have been feeling all the emotions possible to feel I'm hoping this is normal. Also, I have been having trouble telling friends about the surgery. How did some of you tell close friends? We're they supportive?
