Do any of you have babies? I'm starting to wonder how crazy I was to do this with a 9 month old. I am going to have help with him' date=' but not picking him up for at least two weeks sure sounds rough on the both of us. My surgery is Tuesday. I'm excited, anxious, scared. I only had to do a 4 day liquid diet. Today is number 3. It hasn't been as hard as I thought. It is weird how often I catch myself automatically thinking of eating something and I have to remind myself not to eat it.[/quote']

I have a thirteen month old. I'm two weeks out tomorrow. So far I've been blessed with the help of my mom when my husband is at work. I also have a 4 year old. I have been jumped on kicked and what not already. But I have not sustained any injuries lol. It's not fun not being able to pick up your own children. I still have my snuggle time though. I have to wait till week 6 before I can pick up my little one. The time will go fast hang in there. I've gone through the same with food and having to remember not to eat. You'll get used to it stay strong. I wish I would have done this after my first was born.

Why would we need a Facebook page when we can do the same thing on this forum?

Just easier to post to and view pic of each others progress,etc..it was just a thought I wanted to throw out there and see what the feed back would be.

Had an emotional breakdown today.... I was actually crying for an epidural...lol. Had just been to the bathroom, I started to go back and froze with pain. I couldn't move. Just started crying on my husband's chest. Pain meds are great! If I had waited ten more minutes, I could have prevented all that. FYI...Try to plan things around your meds!

Jessica, I am so sorry for the experience you are having. I am saddened when I read the pain you are in. My thoughts are with you buddy.

Why not set the page up and invite whoever wants to be invited. A secret or closed page on FB is only accessible through an invitation.

I'm interested, just easier to maneuver, but will still use the forums here.

hang in there jessica we are all pulling for you! Timing your meds is a very good idea i plan to take that advice. I think a push before you attempt using the incentive spirometer, walking, and even moving in bed is a good idea if you need it do it!

I have a 19-month old son and my doctor cleared me to lift him nine days post op as long as it didn't hurt me. He weighs almost 30 lbs. It was a rough nine days on him because he didn't understand why I couldn't pick him up. My 6.5 year old had to help me get him out of his crib and I taught him how to climb into his car seat. Good luck on Tueasday!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
