M not losing weight this is so frustrating! I try to get in as much as possible obviously without going over! I don't know what to do! I could excersise more but the storms here have been all day and everyday these past couple days but even when I was getting out and walking I still didn't lose 1 lb I. Two weeks is all I lost. I understand everyone's different. But y me?? Ugh sorry needed to vent!

By being on this site..one thing I have noticed is every single one of us has and will go through this. You are not alone in this. I couldn't agree more, it is very frustrating. However, it is part of the process. I am 17 weeks post-op and I can tell you on my journey, every couple of weeks I would experience this. When I went to my 3 month check up my doctor told me it could take the next six months to lose the remainder of the weight I want/need to lose. Remember this weight didn't come on over night so it isnt going to come off over night. Keep following your program, drink, eat, exercise and you'll break through this plateau!! Your doin great don't get frustrated now! Keep your chin up :)

Great advice!! I'm almost 10 weeks out- and I started tracking the weeks that I stop losing.. It's coinciding with my 'mid cycle'.. I even gained 2lbs this time.. But within a couple of days- I dropped 5lbs. So try to start charting your weeks- you may find a pattern there..

I'm 29 weeks out from my surgery and have hit my first plateo. It has lasted about a month. I finally dropped two pounds this morning. Total of 97 pounds. I only weigh in on Sunday mornings. Just hang on there.

Stay focused on following the protocol, get active even if you have to "walk" in your living room (Leslie Sansone has some excellent CD's that will show you how to do exactly that - you can order on Amazon), and stay away from the scales for a week, two would be even better. You know that stalls are a natural part of the weight loss process and although a lot of folks may not post about them, I suspect that just about everyone experiences them. Patience is not only a virtue, it's a necessity for us in the big losers club. You're gonna love the new you!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
