Alas, that means this post is much like life. But not to fear, better times are ahead for all!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I've gotta go get my wife drunk.

Penni, did Dr. Billy use flouro on Pam? T

No, Dr. Billy does not use Flouro unless he has complications locating the port or gaining access. He says it is a waste of time and money and should be used for complications only. Unless of course the patient wants him to use Flouro and then he will access the port that way.

I have to admit he is very skilled in his job. Even though mine was tilted initially he found it and accessed it just fine. I will most likely get a fill in Sept when I go back for my next appointment.

Wait a second, did somebody say it's cold outside? Is it really cold in Wisconsin? Too bad we can't shoot some of this heat through the internet. We're cooking our dinner on the pavement here!

Maybe I'll try something new today, like getting some work done.

Yup... chilly as can be! I'm wearing a flannel shirt and Miss Em has a turtleneck on! I think the high today is supposed to reach a balmy 58 degrees. I won't say the "S" word and that white stuff needs to stay away until at least November!

What does snow look like? I've lived in nothing but drawstring shorts and tees since my surgery. Sure has cut down on the laundry load. I know I've lost a "couple of pounds" in pure sweat! I haven't owned a real coat in years.

Well Marie... if you ever need a real coat... long underwear or a snow shovel... you know who to call!

It took a while for this California raised girl to get used to it... WAIT... I still haven't got used to it!

I moved to California to get away from the "S" word. My old bones can't take the cold. BRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Snow is awesome! You can ski on it, eat it, melt it, make snow people out of it, throw it, make angels in it, watch it, admire it... There's nothing you can do with dust except scratch it out of your dusty eyes.

Snow, snow, snow!

Once again, I must say Oregon is best... We MIGHT get snow in the valley 2 days a year and even that is unlikely. The mountains are just an hour east and there is plenty of snow there to go visit. I hate being cold too and detest snow except to look at. I also hate heat though and that is what we are experiencing right now. HOT!!! Teresa

I am the Goddess of Sun and Snow and Rain and Mud and Hurricanes and Blizzards... but I can do without earthquakes, tornados and dust. I guess I just like weather.

Snow is cold, slick, makes you fall, gets full of mud, (dogs pee on it), gets you stranded, and makes you wear heavy clothes! Ugh!

People bitch all the time about it . (Just like me)

Now, can you tell I lived with snow for most of my life???? The only time I like snow is when I am inside looking out! lol And just maybe, (and that is a real big maybe) I like it at Christmas.

I will send you any ice/snow we get, and you send me the dust with all the sun! Then you can come over and I will share my pool with you since you will be cold!

Betty

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
