I heard no OJ or any citrus for awhile cause it irritates the pouch - something like that. Which I hope changes after awhile cause I like lemon as a seasoning. Anyone else hear this too?

My surgeon didn't say not to drink OJ but it's like a little in the morning & sometimes evening & it's Water down OJ has fithy percent less sugar.

I will be calling my weight center tomorrow as I can't live like this. Water, tea, broth and carnation instAnt Breakfast. I will see if I can have yogurt etc. my center does not want you to eat anything that they have not approved as they know how it effects your system.

Where have you found the Isopure liquid ....and does it taste good ? What favors does anyone recommend?

Coconut Water is allowed in my diet also oranges not orange juice just don't swallow white stuff. Even if coconut water has 15 grams of sugar I drink it because it helps me with keep hydrated

I found some at GNC. I love all the flavors! Right now I have a case of blue raspberry that is delicious!

The Isopure Protein drink tastes kinda like filmy Gatorade. It kinda coats my tongue. But it's not a bad taste. It is tolerable. They are best cold cold cold and so far I have tried the fruit punch one and the blue raspberry. The fruit punch is not very sweet, the blue raspberry is very sweet. My taste buds apparently changed following surgery and I don't like super sweet things right now... So I don't care for the blue raspberry. I also have mango peach to try. I only purchased them for my 1 week of clear liquid diet following surgery which I am almost done with. They are quite expensive (over $5.00 for 1 20 oz bottle) but they were better tasting than my Body Fortress Cookies and Cream mixed with Water ( MAJOR YUCK!) They can be purchased at GNC. My GNC let me purchase 3 individual bottles in 3 different flavors (they had to open cases to let me do this) but I didn't want a whole case of them. 12 bottles is more than 1 full month of ALL my Celebrate Vitamins, Iron and Calcium. Yikes! Good luck finding something you enjoy.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
