New Here

Had my surgery 11/29 I started out at 252lbs and I'm down to 164. It's been quite the journey some days better then others. Over all I'm so glad I has the gastric bypass surgery. I tell everyone that it was the best choice I ever made. I feel so much better and my blood pressure is under control. I am continuing my journey:-)

Start walking, it's best thin you can do. Also, the best advice I was given and I am going to give to you is follow your doctor and nutritionist orders. It's very important. I had some hard times with Vitamins but I am good now. Everyone is different and try not compare yourself with anyone. Your on you own new journey. Best of luck to you!

I go in spurts with the exercise. In the beginning walking is the best. I walked everyday or the gas would kill me. I would take my time and many breaks but if I didn't walk then I would be in pain. I found if I worked out he weight flew off. Now that I'm working more I have been slacking off my exercising but I need to get back into it. I did a 5k a few weeks ago. I walked most of it but ran the end. I felt great and I can't wait to do it again!

That's great! I agree with you it does feel wonderful. I am starting to train for a 1/2 marathon in September. I was going to for the flying pig in Cincinnati next may but found out it the same weekend the twins recieved Holy Communion. I am just happy I found another one though. I perfer to walk right know. I already had 2 operations on my knees when I was younger.
