Recovery Time?

I am just starting the process for having gastric bypass surgery. I am trying to determine how long I will be out after surgery. I know it is different for everyone, but I am just trying to get a general idea.....

Well I had surgery on may 16 I was out of the hospital by may 18 and I was shopping in walmart on may 19 my surgery was pretty kool I have no pain I don't even take pain meds I'm back at the gym and back at work

Omg kizzy that's great it would be nice if everyones goes as well as your did. Congratulations!!!

My surgery was April 23rd. I didn't have any complications from surgery either. However I broke out in a rash all over and had a terrible cold and fever. I went in on a Monday and came home on Wednesday. That's only because I had a fever. I'd say after the first week I felt really good. My energy was back and I started exercising. I didn't even need pain medication when I got home.

Praying for the same type of recovery

I am glad everyone that responded had speedy recoveries. Are there those that had recovery times that were longer? What about complications after surgery?
