Thank you all for the good wishes. Broke down and went to doctor today. No infection but multiple fractures in my thumb. Doctor said a Lab is easily capable of generating force with their jaws exceeding 1000 lbs per square inch - much more than needed to break bones. So they put a splint on my thumb and an incredibly obnoxious bandage. Appointment with orthopoedic surgeon on Monday. I doubt surgery will be needed but can't hurt to get his opinion. Thank you all again. Typing definitely sucks right now but I'll be reading on the sidelines!!

I know I am not eating right. I am 6 weeks out on tuesday and I have no interst in eating. I try to get all my fluids in but it's hard for me. Even when I think I am hungry I know I only eat maybe 500 calories per day. Not enough to lose the weight like I need to. I dont have any problems with pain or anything like that, just turned off by food

Any suggestions on how to eat better?

OUCH DL...hope you feel better soon.

REDSON - Divide it all. If 14 ounces is 25 grams of protein...then half 7 ounces would be 12.5 grams. 3.5 ounces would be 6.25 grams etc. :)

Baltomomma - It's my understanding the goal isn't so much calories but, Protein. Have you tracked your protein intake? Checked with your surgeon/bariatric center to see how much you should be taking in at this point in your weightloss journey? Good Luck!

In the beginning it was a real challenge and about the only way I could do it was with two shakes a day. But as time went on I discovered more and more high Protein foods and along with the morning protein shake' date=' it's pretty easy now. There are still days where I fall short and have to supplement with the Protein Bars but that's OK - I love the protein bars![/quote']

If you have a list, I was wondering if you can send to me also.

Good afternoon guys! For those of you who were interested in my list of Protein foods - I prepared a simple Excel spreadsheet with 51 foods along with calories' date=' serving size and protein per serving. Unfortunately, when I tried to post it, all of the formatting was lost and it would have been a nightmare to make much sense out of it. I also tried to attach the file to the post but got an error message indicating that I'm not allowed to attach that type of file. If anyone has any ideas on how I can add this to the forum I'd be grateful for any advice. As an alternative for anyone interested, if you're comfortable with sending me your email address in a PM, I'd be glad to email you the file. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Sorry - I tried.[/quote']

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
