OMG. Day two of liquid pre op. this is so hard. I'm not going to give in but damn. Just walked to mailbox and neighbor is grilling up some steaks.

Omg!! Imagine if you were cooking it for the family like me. So sad :(

Can't I reschedule my date(23rd). Just kidding. Your right if I had to cook for people it would be extremely difficult, your stronger than me. I told all the friends not to come by and I'm not going anywhere. I'm paid up and ready for a healthy life. Having the surgery in Houston at the Davis clinic. Just had last shake of the night put some frozen berries in it. It was good no complaints, now can I make it the rest of the night? I must.

I'm doing better. My problem is at night. A upper scope? I had an upper and lower scope done last year. Yes the worst thing is the fasting with Clear Liquids but,I think it was for a 24 hr. if you were having both scopes done I'd ask the doc to make sure they don't use the same scope ;). Good luck.

The pre-op diet is probably the most difficult part of the whole process for most folks. Just about any kind of exercise wil help curb your appetite. I also focused on keeping busy which makes the time fly by. It's not easy but you absolutely can do it and you'll find lots of support here. My surgeon told me that I had to lose 20 pounds (at least) pre-op - no weight loss, no surgery. Keep reminding yourself that they want to reduce the fat around the liver which reduces its size and makes the surgery much easier. Well worth the effort!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
