Well I'm kinds torn emotionally today. I am 1 month post op today. I weighed 235.8 last week and today I weigh 238.4! I have moved into eating some solid food and trying to get some calories in. I doubt I have gotten in over 450 on any given day. But I know it's still 20lbs in 30 days. So that is definitely something to be excited about. I have also started doing some cardio now so in sure everything will work out. I guess this is that stall that everyone talks about.

Hi. Don't get too frustrated. I went through periods of a little gain then a big loss. I'm 11 weeks out & only in the last month have I lost a significant amount. Don't worry it will come off. Keep up the good work :)

Don't worry ladies, Its very normal to stall even frequently an gain also... I stall every 2 weeks then the scale moves like 6-10 lbs... Then I stall again! When I am at a stall my body looses inches! It all evens out in the end!

CW 243.8! (mediterranean diet success):)

I Just submitted insurance for surgery due to my diabetes, severe insulin resistance and joint pain.

And after my 12 hour night shift i ate a boston cream pie donut, then shopping, then Breakfast at burgerking, more shopping, and finally pie and coffee in a restaurant before i went to bed! Gotta have the surgery to stop my crazy binge behavior! And to tell the truth, the pie and donut dont taste as good as they used to.

I dont want the surgery but i know i need it. Help me be strong!

Just updating my weight. It's been awhile. I was 258 at surgery time. I am 171 today! Yippie! I feel so great and I'm able to do so much of the activities I enjoy... Hiking, basketball, paddling, volleyball!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
