Throwing up
It's a never ending struggle. I was eating more than I should to compensate for throwing up. Now I have to lose the weight. Easier to go to the doc in the long run.

Throwing up
Exactly how I was feeling. I had to have my age 50 colonoscopy and since I was having trouble tossing cookies, they did the upper too. Lower was clean as a whistle (as I predicted) so that verified the blood was from the ulcer. Wel, it turned out to be a baby ulcer and honkin' huge ulcer. Go now before whatever is causing the problem gets worse. Good Luck!!!!

Throwing up
You may have an ulcer. That was my problem about the same time out. I take Prilosec and have only tossed once in two months.

When did you start doing poop?
Hey! It took a few days for me, but I was normally a slow mover pre-surgery. Good luck and happy pooping! Amanda

June Post Ops!
OK Peeps... Sorry I've been absent. Life.. you know how it goes. I'm a little bummed and need some advise to get my head back in the game. I'm eating OK.. staying close to guidelines but my weight isn't dropping anymore. Granted. I'm exercising on a regular basis and the whole Muscle is heavier thing is there but DANG... I'm down to 183-185 range and while thats not a bad thing, I had hoped to lose a little more... like around 20 lbs more. My surgiversary is next week and I have lost just over 70 lbs this year, just over a hundred since I made the "big decision" and 115 from my highest. I drink one to two shakes a day, eat one to two servings of protein cereal and a protein bar if I don't get my second serving of shake. I average about 80 grams of protein a day and just what I listed alone is about 900 calories. Doesn't leave a lot of room for real food (Calorie wise) so I usually go over a bit. Is there a solution to getting past my stuck? I can feel my ribs and hips. I have a jawline now and cheekbones. Should I just accept that I'm where I am and pull up my big girl drawers about it? ..... OH yeah.. and peanut butter is the bain of my existance when I can't find PB2. Sheesh! Never thought I would have a love affair with PEANUT BUTTER... :facepalms:

WOW...I know what you mean, a few years ago you would have been able to get these items without a prescription. Why won't your doc just write a prescription? I had this to happen to me last year, I have a different flex spend account, however, I used the rest of the money getting my teeth cleaned and I purchased new eye glasses. Maybe you can use it a different way and I do believe they give extension into January, check into that. Well I hope it work out, it does come in handy, just know next year, you can elect a smaller amount. The bariatric doc said they don't write perscriptions for OTC. I am going to use the rest of the money for glasses. That's the only thing I could think of to use it up. I'm also talking to my internist. Definitely going to elect a smaller amount next time. It was definitely a learning experience! Rhyz

In short.... AMERIFLEX STINKS! My RNY doc sent a Letter of Medical Necessity for my Calcuim Citrate and Muscle Milk but Ameriflex won't accept the purchase claim without a freaking perscription! GEEZ! Their only suggestion was to find a doctor that would write a perscription for me. What is the point of having Ameriflex if you can't use it for over the counter Vitamins and Protein suppliments as well??? Especially with a Letter of Medical Necessity? I'm frustrated into tears over this. I don't need to spend my monthly allotment on medicine anymore because i am now HEALTHY due to the surgery. If I don't get to use it for these expenses, these people will get to keep a large amount of money from me at the end of the fiscal year...whch sucks. Has anyone else had this issue??? On top of this i have a freaking cold. UGH! Rhyz

Want to know my goals for the next two weeks? 1. Maintain my weight 2. Log my food. 3. Have anything I want as long as it is logged. 4. Enjoy myself and not stress if the scale doesn't move 5. Enjoy my family and friends and not worry about if I had an extra bite or something. It's life and we should enjoy all experiences. 6. Most importantly I plan to be easy on myself and not beat myself up or feel like a failure if my diet isnt perfect. Setting this list has been so freeing for me. Oh id add drink my water and get my protein. Not worry about calories. I hope this helps. It does help. If I can maintain my weight then I will be an ecstatic camper! Happy Holidays to my June Post Ops peeps!! Rhyz

June Post Ops!
Just when I think I have this whole eating thing under control, I hit the holidays. SIGHS... Dang sausage balls. Bane of my existance. At least I only take one at a time. Then walk all the way back from my office to get another one. Rinse repeat. I don't get this hungry at home when I have such goodies. I am making myself wait a legit amount of time before making the trek back to get another one. I'm trying......
