November buddies where are you?

Recommended Posts

Hello to all the new November sleevers and welcome!!! I'm also a November sleever surgery date was November 30' date='2012. This was by far the best thing to happen to me!!! I'm 11 months out and down 97 lbs and lost 15 inches off my waist alone!! Some days will be hard and there will be times when you have buyers remorse, but believe me it will pass when you see the weight melting off. Just wanted to wish you all good luck on your upcoming surgeries!!

Congratulations and thanks for your words. I have been very calm up until this point and now I am freaking out a bit. First about complications and second on buyers remorse, regret, and depression.

I am very nervous. I have never been operated on. I M scared of the unknown and what to expect for my recovery. What about you
I've had 2 back surgeries both this is in a total different area. Lol I'm starting to get nervous and about the week before I will probably try to back out, then m husband will say "woman what's your problem". I'll cry a little and make a million excuses, he'll hug me and say "get over it already" then ill call my little sissy and get my pep talk. I'm goofy like that. I am worried about the pre-op diet more than anything.

I'm nervous about the pre diet. I was told mine will not be liquid but I won't believe it until I meet with them on the 7th. My surgery is at 7:30 in morning so I am the first one for the day. I am excited about being first!

Today is my 2nd day of pre-op diet. So far its not that bad. And believe me I was going crazy over thinking how this was going to go. I am very hungry, its not so much head hunger rather than real deal hunger. I only have 3 Protein Drinks a day to drink and thats it. So imagine that! All of you who are going through it soon you will be fine. try not to over think it like I did, we only make it harder on ourselves. Remember the big prize!!! Im so ready for this part to be over and to get the ball rolling. :)

Ok I got my tickers going! Yeah! Had to show them off! LOL. I am actually having surgery on a Saturday. Is anyone else going to be in Puerto Vallarta around the 16th of November?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
