You are doing NOTHING wrong. Keep trying soft (verrrry soft) food. When you find one STAY WITH IT for a few days before you add something new. My starter foods were (1) cottage cheese with unflavored protein powder and (2) chicken in a can -- VERY soft. Eat a little, stop, push NOTHING yet. Go Slow!!! If needed, take a step back and redo liquids for a day or three...

- k thank you I will try to stick with soft foods . I've only been eating 1-2ounces so ill continue that . Thanks for the support !

You might be eating too much, too fast- try only one bite every 15 minutes and see if that stays down. In the beginning, that is what I had to do until I worked myself up to one bite every 5 minutes, and I had to eat that way for a month before I was able to hold two bites in a 5 minute period which is where I am now.

If your Dr cleared you for a marathon it does not mean you are ready. What was in your pureed diet? Soft foods is something you need to prep/train for in the pureed stage. I couldn't eat eggs for a while, I went back to oatmeal, and then I was able to tolerate eggs a few days later. Def keep challenging yourself but if you cannot tolerate it then take a step back. 2 steps forward 1 step back.
