    7 days post op

No stall if you diet right. I've lost 7-10 lbs every month since surgery because of my diet. I'm down 100lbs in 7 months! No stalls here.
  2. This is a 'life-changing event' and a choice you will live with for the rest of your life. Don't sacrifice saving a few bucks with the risk of having complications which could potentially cost you more in hospital and medical bills than the actual surgery itself. $4,500 is already a great value and exactly what I paid for my surgery. I would not go any lower. Dr. Fernando Garcia was my guy and everything went perfect. I could not be happier. After 7 months I am down 100lbs. Just saying.

    Calories.

i think 1600 is too many, you wont lose fast enough during the 6 month honeymoon phase, I say eat 1000-1200 cal per day for the first 6 months. lose as much as you can as fast as you can in this time period, then start lifting weights tightening up and ramping up your physicality and start adding calories at that time. I say this because as a guy I started with a lot of bulky muscle, this may be different for girls you may want to start working out earlier than this but that calories should be spot on.
  6. Handsome fellow! Thanks, I try.

    Tijuana surgery March 21

Just keep in mind that everyone is different, but i have had no complications, and no i never got hungry for the first 3 months. I can tell now when I am hungry and when I am thirsty, it's a different feeling for each, it's kinda crazy. I can now listen to what my body is telling me and I know what it wants/needs.

    Tijuana surgery March 21

6 months post op on March 24th in 13 days. I'm down 80 lbs. 320 to 240 (maybe 230 now) eating 1000 cal per day or less Protein every meal, chicken eggs fish i eat so little that i can afford to have some chocolate milk, jolly ranchers, crown and cokes, and get away with it. just make sure your meals are all protein and cut out all bread and you'll drop fast. oh it's very legit. i was very nervous they gave me a zanax to calm me down at the hospital. not gonna lie the first 3-4 weeks suck but the next 3-4 months will be just fine.

    Calories.

i wouldn't start counting calories just yet. instead concentrate on healing yourself by not overdoing it. slowly try new things, thicker and thicker consistencies. 2 steps forward 1 step back if that suits you.

you guys should read the book called the 4-hour body save you some time and still maximize your workouts same author as the 4-hour workweek and no i'm not plugging these books for any reason other than i read them both and really like the concepts given,

As a guy, I like this thread a lot, not in a creepy way though. You girls are motivating me to look better as well. Keep up the good work ladies.

I will not be there but I did the same exact thing 5 months ago. Feel confident in knowing you are making a great choice for yourself. Good luck!

  21. Yesterday I was playing some basketball at the gym. Running, jumping, and twisting during basketball is the most strain i have put on myself since surgery. Today I am getting random sharp sudden pains in my abdomen and I am wondering why this is? 4 months post op so I should be practically fully healed. Is there some scar tissue in there that is still a little raw? are the muscle fibers getting some sort of an acid build up along the staple line since i went from no workouts to a semi-high intensity workout? This happened to me about 3 weeks ago as well after I hit the weights and I was getting these pains for like a week, and then they went away and everything was fine. Anyone else experience this? Id lke to not lose so much muscle and be able to consistently lift and play bball. Open for discussion...

    Burping A Lot

ok we all agree we burp A LOT. Now how do we make it stop? No one knows.

    6 months post-op

I noticed the same thing with carbs, that if I switched 2 eggs for 1 egg and a nutrigrain waffle, added a few extra whole grain crackers with my cheese or tuna, or ate some additional potatoes over the holiday, that seems to lead to a plateau for a few weeks. I probably need to call our dieticians and find out how much I should be eating. I have to say that even 1200 calories is not very much. My PCP is concerned about how little I'm eating but she said that as long as my nutrition scores are good, she does not want to interfere with the directions I'm getting from my surgeon's team. Try to add extra calories and carbs on workout days only. 900 on non workout days and then 1500 on workout day, this should ramp up your workouts, your metabolism, and your results.
