I am 10 days post op and I can't get my Protein in at all.....I'm still on clears so I have to do the shakes and I've tried 5 different kinds/flavors with different ways and they make me sooooo sick..

I had the same issue, I couldnt take anything w/ whey. I was doing French vanilla Slim Fast w/ Silk Almond milk..but it wasnt enough Protein content.

The nurse was calling & I got stressed, so I found "EAS" Soy Protein powder @walmart. Its vanilla but I can use my almond milk. Its 20g/8 oz serv.

& Kellogg's Protein Bars (10g/ bar) #works for me

I was sleeved on 8/23. I find that I can eat anything I try. I had some Totinos pizza rolls last night and today. I have even been eating Bit of Honey candy. I try ti stick to puree, but I seem to be doing OK on soft foods, so I try to alternate them. I do think I am hungry, and have something every 2 hours. It is really hard for me to get in my liquids, but if I have a popsicle or shaved ice sno cone, it really helps. For Protein, I have been using New Whey Protein Shots. I get mine at Walmart. These are 3.5 oz and have 42 g of protien. They are much better to me than any shakes. They taste like really strong, thick Kool Aid drink mix. I also like the Slim Fast High Protein chocolate, but that is 10 oz for 20 g protien. I think now I am in the 3rd week stall!

6/1/13- 268lbs

9/11/13-237

9/13/13-241

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
