Hi Misty !

Welcome and good luck!! I am being banded next month too. There is a Feb. Banster's thread you should pop in there too!

Welcome Misty!

Ask all the questions you can. You'll learn so much. This is a great site and congratulations!

Welcome to LBT

Best wishes on your surgery...and keep us posted.

Hi!

Be sure to use the"search" feature...you can look up any aspects of the surgery you are interested in...

Then, you can post specific questions, and someone will rush to you with answers/opinions.

You are very wise to get all the info you can BEFORE the surgery...

My best advice is to go into the process understanding that the band is a helper, but you are still going to have to put forth a great deal of effort. It will just be easier to succeed...and the band is there for you, when you can't be there for yourself. Be patient, take your time, and be willing to take things slow and methodically. It's been a great decision for me!

Welcome to LBT! Like others have said.. read this forum and you will learn an amazing amount of info from people living with the band.

Hi mistiful!

My best advice to you would to be to find a local fill doctor BEFORE you surgery unless you plan on traveling back to MX every time you need a fill or unfill. So many times I see people posting in desperate need of a fill doctor AFTER they have surgery. Get all your ducks in a row and everything will go much smoother for you.

Good luck to you and don't be shy to ask questions.... we were all newbies here once!

Peace.

Misty, I scowered this site thoroughly before my lapband surgery. There is a ton of information here. Congrats on making this life changing decision. Best of luck to you.
