Hello MV they are going to be cutting me up the middle because of loose skin on my sides, they will be cutting a upside down V out from the breast bone down to pull in the loose skin at the sides.

Hello again, just a update on whats been happening regarding my Abdominoplasty, i had my pre op assesment last week and im fit for surgery, they were very thourough with me, and re tested me 4 mrsa which i had when i was banded. Im glad to say ive had the results back for them tests and they are mrsa clear ! So my surgery will be going ahead 22nd May. Im quite nervous as its major surgery and as well as doing hip 2 hip they will be cutting up my middle up to the breast bone, i will have to wear a corsett for up to four months but i dont mind that or even the pain, its infection im more concerned about, any way thats my update ill let you all know how i get on. I DONT SAVE THAT MUCH AS NOW IM ON A TOTALLY DIFFERENT MENU FROM THE REST OF MY FAMILY, AND MOST THE FOOD I BUY 4 ME GOES IN THE BIN BECAUSE I CANT EAT WHAT I BUY 4 ME ALONE TO MYSLELF ! BUT THERE IS A FEW MEALS WE CAN EAT AS A FAMILY, BUT NOT MANY, ITS 50/50 REALLY ON FOOD SAVINGS, DEPENDS IF UR SINGLE OR HAVE A FAMILY

Hi, my 1st appointment with my NHS surgeon, he said to me that he wanted to see that i could commit to weight loss for so long, as the band is a life long commitment. Id previously been on all the weight loss pills and he re prescribed me xenical, gave me 3 months to lose what i could, he said if i show commitment with it he would put me on his waiting list after that, then if hes happy with the weight loss, the approximate waiting time from that point is around 6 months. i Was Banded In North East Of England On Nhs And They Are Also Funding My Tummy Tuck In May, Im A Little Scared Coz Of Mrsa As I Had That Wen I Was Banded, But Ill Let U Know How I Get On . liz Xx

I can not tollerate any of the items on your list as they are to dry and dense to go throught my band , i get an instant pb with 1 bite, so ive given up on then all together, i can can eat baked beans though, but not many as they are real filling.

Hi Melanie, if the healthy food is becoming stuck and the bad foods are going down maybe u r a little to tight, this is a possible cause for no weight loss, go see ur band doctor or talk it over with your dietician. Good luck, thats what i would do. LIZ XXX

HI RYAN, I WELL AGREE WITH SUSAN ITS OK TO HAVE THE ODD THING THAT WE SHOULDNT AS LONG AS IT STAYS THAT WAY, ITS NO GOOD WORRYING ABOUT THINGS LIKE THAT JUST MOVE FORWARD AS THE NEXT DAY, IS A NEW DAY TO GET BACK ON TRACK, AFTER ALL WE ARE ONLY HUMAN, WE ALL DO IT FROM TIME TO TIME AND ITS PERFECTLY NORMAL. I ALSO AGREE WITH SUSAN INTAKE MORE FLUIDS AS IT REALLY DOES TAKE THE EDGE OFF THE HUNGER, I KEEP CHILLED WATER IN MY FRIDGE I HAVE THAT WITH ICE ITS SO NICE AND THE HUNGER SOON PASSES.

HI IM LIZ AND I LIVE IN THE UK AND I TOLD EVERY ONE, I DONT REALLY CARE IF OTHERS JUDGE ME IN A NEGITIVE WAY THATS JUST THERE IGNORANCE, MOSTLY IVE HAD POSITIVE FEEDBACK BUT ALOT OF UNBANDED PEOPLE DONT SEEM TO UNDERSTAND WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT EVEN AFTER A EXPLAINATION, IVE ALSO HAD A LOT OF CRITICISM WHICH DOESNT BOTHER ME AT ALL OR THE IGNORANT COMMENTS I OFTEN GET FROM PEOPLE, IVE LEARNED TO SAY TO THESE PEOPLE THAT I DONT REALLY CARE WHAT U THINK OF ME I DID THIS FOR ME AND ONLY ME. IVE ALSO COME ACROSS ALOT OF NEGITIVITY AND JELLOUSY FROM PEOPLE (USUALLY FEAMALE) THAT WANT TO BE OUT RIGHT BITCHY WITH ME BUT NOTHING LIKE THAT BOTHERS ME EITHER, IM JUST HAPPY GO LUCKY AND IM NOT ASHAMED OR GOING TO HIDE WHAT IVE DONE. HI LYNNE TODAY IVE HAD AS FOLLOWS : BREAKFAST A COFFEE LUNCH 1 LOW FAT LASANGE WITH GRAVY (GRAVY IS A MUST OR IT WONT GO DOWN) EVENING MEAL A BOWL OF HOME MADE LOW FAT SPAG BOL NO PASTA. AND ALSO LOTS OF WATER & NO SUGAR DILUTE JUICE.

IVE GIVEN UP ON BREAD COMPLETLY, IT JUST WONT GO DOWN AT ALL, MAYBE ITS A GOOD THING FOR ME AS BREAD WAS ONE OF MY BIGGEST DOWN FALLS, ITS SOME THING IVE LEARNED TO COME TO TERMS WITH.

I was a smoker when i was banded, its unwise to carry on with it as it stops the healing process of the skin and i was more prone to infection, and i payed the price 4 it, if you can quit its best for you and your recovery process.
