The sleeve gastrectomy is an operation in which the left side of the stomach is surgically removed. This results in a new stomach which is roughly the size and shape of a banana. Since this operation does not involve any "rerouting" or reconnecting of the intestines, it is a simpler operation than the gastric bypass or the duodenal switch. Unlike the LAP-BAND® procedure, the sleeve gastrectomy does not require the implantation of an artificial device inside the abdomen.

i just had half of my fill taken out due to dr orders i was trowing up every day having alot of pb going on so tommrow is one week that i went to the dr. i haven't been sick all week so i think my restriction is good now i can eat soild food now thanks.

norgaw i was banded one year ago and lost a total of 30 lbs. and now ive been the same weight since july that a long time. but i feel you 100% you are not a loser non of us are. we just need a little extra support. trust me i feel miserable and need help also mabey we could support each other well good luck and this year you had a 30 lb loss you should be proud of that .

yes 4 oz is great for me .too i've been using my new food scale and im doing a-okey .4oz is a lot more then it sounds . but i still haven't lost weight that is odd any new suggestions

:help:hey there guys i haVE A QUESTION i just went to the dr and he had to take some of my fluid out,because of problems ive been having with it. they told me to eat 4oz at my meals, now is that the whole meal ??because it just dont sound normal.i know this question must sound stupid , thats why i didnt ask the surgen thank you all and please help somebody.

yes im watching what i eat and i chew at least 20-30 times per bite but hun it doesnt work nothing work. thank you so much for the reply

:help:i needed to know if anyone knows the signs of a slippage. every time i eat i get that stuck feeling, even if its a small bit. but im able to drink liquids ok mabey once in awhile if i drink to fast ill throw it up . but i dont know whats gonig on asnd im to asshamed to go to the dr i feel like ive failed big time , and they will think i dont try but i do i really really do its not working please help me :think

yeah ive been having the same problem. i pb on a daily and if i dont then i feel like im going to. i to have not lost any weight in a lnog time. and ive been feeling like this for a long time. i havent gone to the doctor becaus im asshamed i feel like a failur its so humilting

hey there hun i feel you 1000% every thing i eat gets stuck. un less its something thats fatting (mushy softs). i thought things would be diffrent with the band guess i was wrong. and i dont think its healthy to be vomiting or sliming all the time. god only knows what its doing to our insides. i really want my band out just scared to do it all i know is this was wrong for me . and if you want it out you go girl .total support over here. and good luck to all
