Oh and as for Water I'm not getting enough in even when i try !I know I'm not but its impossible for me !I'm really struggling ! I'm a very go go go go person and I forget I can't do that anymore and when I do , I find my feeling like I'm about to fall out ! I just really hope this doesn't last forever ! Any advise !

It doesn't. How far out are you? If you got sleeved recently, your stomach is inflamed. I believe it can stay that way for weeks.

I was just sleeved by Dr. ram too on Tuesday, I drank maybe 6 oz of Water yesterday, trying a shake this morning, just do not feel like eating at all. This gas thing in my chest is bad too, I pray for you too, hope ot gets better.

Listen to your sleeve.....but you must drink a little so that you can build up the acids in your stomach to help to break down the food....Eating a little at first is not going to hurt you...Although if you don't you will start to lose your hair...Biotin will help.....Sip, sip and sip some more.....And if you don't remember to eat because your stomach hurts...Set a timer for every 2 hours and try that for now......Don't take in anything too hot or cold right now your stomach will revolt.....tepid okay....

It will get better I know...I was 5 months in the hospital due to complications with my surgery and I thought I would never ever feel better again....10 months out..I am doing really well...You will too!!!!!

At this point in your recovery your stomach is less inflamed. It's time to put yourself on a schedule with eating a little bit every 2 hours. Since your not getting hardly any food in, your weight loss can or will slow down. Drink a RTD Protein Shake like Premier from costco or Sam's club to get you started int he morning. Eat moist foods to help with getting the food into your stomach. You can do this, it's making new habits of taking care of yourself. Sip every time you get a chance, dehydration is the worst ever. It's not fun. :P

I was sleeved on Monday, I do not find it hard to get my Protein or fluids in yet, so maybe I am doing this wrong. I mix an Atkins shake (15 GM protein) with 1cup milk (8 GM protein) and 1scoop injury Protein powder(27 GM protein). I drink 2 oz every 15 min until it is gone. Takes around 3 hours but 50 grams of protein is out of the way, then I drink 2 oz of Water every 15 min for next few hours then a protein Soup or yogurt for lunch and back to water.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
