That would be a great way to add differing flavors and changing it up a bit

*sigh* I can't do the sugar free syrups as they tend to run right through me and not in a good way. I've been drinking premier for Breakfast a few days a week for a few months, I don't seem to tire of it. I'm sure I will be tired of it by the time I'm a month post-op!

Pre-op: Surgery date 12/16/13 with Dr. Ariel Ortiz.

Hello Fellow December Sleevers !! I'm Currently hoping to go in December .. I've been overweight most of my whole life (19 years). I started researching everything about 3 years ago and never went through with it because I thought maybe it would get better. But now I'm taking this very serious and started the process September 10th and met with my surgeon and discussed everything I finished all my pre-op testing October 7th and was submitted to insurance Monday !! I'm very excited and have been on edge wish I could call my insurance everyday .. But none the less I'm very excited and hoping to have this done during my winter break in school !!

What is everybody doing to prepare themselves? I have been soda-free for 3 weeks now. Been trying out some Protein powders and shakes. Even bought some baby spoons yesterday - I need too work on the whole smaller bites thing :)
I hear ya. I'm trying to think baby steps too. Except my job is stressful and sometime I woof my food.< /p>

have you considered going to Mexico a gastric sleeve is about 5000 and that includes everything except the plane ticket. it is also with some of the best surgeons. I know some people won't consider it but I've done a lot of research and it is just as safe as having surgery in america but half the price. just a thought for you since you are self pay

I had mine done in TN on 10/21. Excellent surgeon and staff at the hospital. Good luck!

With Charles Morton at The Baptist Weight Loss Surgery Center, which also a 'Center of Excellence' which to me, was important. Nashville, TN

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
