Thought I would start a thread for us local folks so we could exchange information about our meetings and local happenings. Our meetings are getting so big. See everyone Monday night.

  • Yes, 24 hours and I'm about to starve. I'll probably have to do 24 hours after too. Isn't it funny how the different docs require different things when we all have the same adjustments inside.

Susan, hope your monday goes ok. I am going to Texarkana. I hope I can get a good fill. I need one. How are you on your fill now? restriction? Right now, I don't think I would care if I had to drink everything, if I had good restriction. I know, I know, that ain't right, but.....

have a good day, k?

see ya later.

37 pounds!!!! Cool. You go, Susan. I hope I can move my ticker soon. I am tired of looking at it. Gotta git, Tanner is out of school today. It's one of those "bad weather" days. lol

so far, so good. I can tell I have restriction but I'm not sure how much, since this is my first day of regular food, I will know more soon. And the two pounds that I had gained before I went on that day after Sunday is gone today, PLUS one. Cool, huh?

All you Mt. Pleasant people, I have a question. I had my first fill with Dr. Maese in Ferris, Tx. I wasn't much impressed even though he came highly recommended. There were 4 of us there and he ran us through like cattle through a branding gate. I had questions for him but he just sort of pushed me through. For $200 I felt I deserved more. My daughter's mother-in-law is a nurse at Pittsburg hospital. She was telling me about a Dr. Querry there in Pittsburg who does surgery and fills. She's fairly new in the area. Have any of you heard anything about her? Her receptionist really spoke highly of her. The receptionist has had a band and she does hers. She said she would take as much time as I want or need to answer questions. Another advantage is that it's just 25 miles from Omaha and not 130. With the price of gas it would really save me big bucks. She onlyl charges $100 for a fill. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about her. Thanks for any help.

Sorry LL, I haven't heard of her. My advice is to just be careful about choosing a doctor to do your fills. Is she trained by Inamed? How many band procedures has she done? How long has she been certified? These are questions that I would ask her. The physician who does the fills is just as important as the one that placed the band. And I'm not being rude when I say this cause if I didn't have insurance, I woud be in your boat too, but I would be a little leary of charges so cheap. Make an appointment with her and discuss the procedure with her and then make a decision.

Sorry, if I wasn't much help.
