I'm Sept 23rd in Dallas. Going for my pre-admission testing tomorrow.

Me too! I get my pre op diet tomorrow, then meet with the doctor, anesthesiologist and measure bone density on Wednesday.

My husband and I had surgery August 2nd' date=' and I'm blogging what the first few days are like. If you're interested to know some details, you can check this out:

Thank you. This was VERY helpful to me.

I'm September 24th' date=' in NJ. T minus 6 weeks- but who's counting?[/quote']

I'm the 24th too! Hello Sleeve Buddy Twin.

I am on the 11 September, very excited, only lost 2kg's in week 1 of pre op, but I hope that is ok, it is better than nothing. YaY to us, well done fellow almost sleevers, see you on the other side xx

My surgery is next Tuesday, September 10th. I am officially on my liquid diet now. I did this with my wife while she was on hers a month ago so I'm no stranger to liquids. Still....I'M HUNGRY! :P

I'm hungry too! I did good my first couple days but yesterday I had to go grocery shopping and I almost caved. They have gelato! My diet is not even that strict but I'm just use to going wherever, whenever I want. Especially the weekends bc I'm running around with my husband and we would usually get lunch or dinner out. Everytime I get myself into a tough situation I start saying "trigger, trigger!!" Which makes us both laugh and distracts me from the craving. It started off as a joke, but now I'm really seeing how many things reminded me of food!

I am supposed to do 1 week of low carb "atkins" type diet and 1 week liquids but I decided to do 2 weeks liquid since its also low carb to give my body a jump start on losing. I didn't qualify through my insurance but I am determined to make changes and get this surgery so I am heading to Mexico for my surgery.

Good luck with your diet... hope all goes well in Mexico. Let's keep in touch. Best wishes.

Sabrina - don't worry you can do this!!!!! Make sure you get in protein every 4 hours MAX. In between eat jello, have a glass of skim milk. just keep track of protein and calories. i am 8 days in on the full liquid diet and i am eating around 800 calories and 70-80 grams protein. Just an aside, I went to my favorite Chinese restaurant. I have always been crazy for sizzling rice soup. I ask for 2large containers of Broth only. The broth is incredible flavorful. Since it is preop and volume doesn't matter I can have 2cups for 50 calories, . You can do the same thing with any restaurant that serves pho -the beef broth that is the foundation of pho is made with veggies, beef, and marrow. Yum yum...

too funny, I did the same thing, got the wonton soup broth, my favorite pho place is over half hour away so I made my own beef stock instead! :)

Mine is sept 11th and I have cheated a little.. On my preop diet I hope everything will be ok.

I'm sept 11th and craving lots but have stuck to my diet. This is day 3 for me!

My date is Sept 4th and I am so unsure of this. I am second guessing my self.

mine is sept 23rd, second guessing myself as well. I am hoping after the preop appt, that I feel better about the descision.

I'm on week 4 of my pre--op diet, just having optifast shakes and 1 optifast bar a day, not doing to bad I am down 15 lbs. last Thursday at my check in. Only 3 weeks till my surgery, hoping to be down another 10 to 15 by then. I drink lots of water in between my shakes to help stop the hunger seems to work for me. Good luck and best wishes to us all!

Well, we are on the sleeve side of life! Surgery went well, so far no complications. Lots of painful gas... Which was to be expected. Had surgery in TJ, Mexico, performed by Dr. Almanza. Had the procedure yesterday, stayed overnight and back at the hotel today. Hotel is much more comfortable, but to call down to the nurse for pain meds, takes a while to receive. We are waiting on our masseuse to arrive. A free 20 min massage is included in the package! Helps with the gas pains. Ill keep y'all posted!
