Ok guys...I am getting nervous! I got all the stuff today for the plastic surgeon I am going to see...makes it seem so close and so real.

I am really upset, I have to go alone. I have no one to go with me. David has to take the girls to ballet. Not that I want him there....but anyways....

You all know that my mom is a drama queen and everything is about her. I do not want her to come because she will make it all about her. I do not want to go alone....UGH....

What to do??

HUGE NSV for me today. This morning I was going out (to the auction, which I had a blast at) and so I was trying on jeans. All my regular jeans were 14's and feeling alittle sloppy, my old jeans in the bottom of my drawer looked completely out dated and I didn't even bother trying them on (or looking at the sizes) so I put on a pair of my old 14's and went out for the day. DH and I went to lunch and shopping at Gander Mt (yeah my idea of a good time) so while dh is over looking at ammo and arrows I browse the ladies dept. (smart peeps at Gander mt to put in a ladies dept) - I look at the jeans and think ... hmmm I wonder if I can squeeze into a 12. Much to my delight, my pretty little butt slid right into that size 12, ... so I bought 2 pairs!!! Now let me explain that while my pretty little butt slid into the 12's my sloppy ole jelly belly fell over the top. But I don't care. A 12 is a 12 is a 12~!!! Now this evening when I went for my walk all I could dream about was getting a jelly belly lopoffofme - or Tummy Tuck as others would say.

Its a good day in the hills of Pennsylvania.

Boo I do most everything like that alone. I mean the drs appt's and stuff. I had surgery once on my wrist and had no one with me, no one to drive me home, my sil came and picked me up, THAT was horrible and I told my dh never ever again, since then he has made a point to be there for all my surgeries but as far as drs appt's go .. I go alone. Truth is I prefer it that way - and I don't mean to make light of any surgery bc I know they can be dangerous but I think ya'll are nuts fretting over plastic surgery - when I get a date I'll be dancing on the table! I'm hoping my insurance will cover the skin removal.

Steph- YOU ROCK GIRL!!! 12's??? You Skinny thing!

Brandy - I went to my PS consults alone, and preferred it that way. While the first was a little nerve wracking it was just because I didn't know what to expect. The surgeons and nurses and staff at BOTH clinics I went to went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. So, coming from someone who just did two PS consults solo, I KNOW you can do it! :) And I'm glad you're going to the doctor - last thing you need is to end up in the hospital from dehydration!

Brandi - I haven't been on my bike much but I'm getting it in for it's tuneup on the 30th (I'm heading out on vacation Wednesday thru the 29th for the National Championships of the racing I do - I'll have to post something on the yahoo group so y'all can see what it is I do!) So, I hope to be back on the bike in October - assuming the Seattle "winter" hasn't started then... if so, I may buy an elliptical or bike for inside so I have no excuses!

Ok, gotta run, I'm going with two of my girlfriends for mani's/pedi's today... One of the rare times I'm "girlie"! :)

Ladies, I have been low carbing it like a B*tch!!

I've had 7 grams of carbs today... and ate 1000 calories... DAMN!

Now THAT is low carb... haha.

I am trying soooo hard, boy -- i didnt realize how many carbs I was eating till I had to concentrate on NOT donig it.

-------------------

I didn't take the pain meds... they made me sleepy. I've been toughing it out. My neck still really hurts... but there is not visible swelling, and it seems a bit better. BUT it still hurts. I wish I knew what the deal was. Guess I will find out on Monday when the labs come back.

-------------------

BK - Hey girl!! so glad to see you :-) glad to hear you are doing ok and I know what you mean about the slow weight loss. I am sooo tired of it. So, I am trying some knew things to see if I can get moving faster again.

BOO - I hope you are wrong about the Strep... that stuff sucks... dont go any longer without eating though. NOT SAFE :-)

Bannannie -- let me know when the pics are on yahoo. I would LOVE to see what you do. I am WAY jealous. I would love to race. I am such a little speed demon. I really can drive too. I think I would be very good at it. There is just nothing around here for me to drive in. I am keeping my eyes open though. It would be soo fun.

I hope it is a dry winter. I want to stay out on my bike. I like it sooo much better than working out inside. But the cold is coming. With all of the crazy weather around here... God only know when that will be... Maybe tomorrow. Maybe not at all. haha

Hope you all have had a good weekend!

Brandi--Good luck on the labs! I hope they can pin point what it is so they can fix it and you can get on with life pain free.

Bannannie--enjoy that mani/pedi I need those SOOO bad...lol...

Ok girls you have all convienced me that I can go to the PS alone, so I will...lol....I can do it, I am a big girl, (only in age anymore)

I went to clinic, I do have strep. Got antibotics. They wanted to keep me but I was having none of that. I don't even have anyone here to help me with the girls, so got some IV fluids and left. Feeling better so far.

Glad you are feeling better (some better, that is). I know you can go alone, you really can. I did all of my appts at Hurley alone and would have done surgery alone if they had let me drive myself. I guess I'm just a loner, but yet I'm all warm and fuzzy and love people, weird, huh?

If I am off and you do decide you want someone to go, I would gladly come join you in the office. After all, I may be working out next door at that time.

Well, my calories were higher yesterday but my carbs were below 10 grams. Which is what I am trying to accomplish right now. Feeding the body something different.

I had to fix my elliptical - so by the time I got her up and running last night is was 12:30am -- So, I only hopped on for 10 minutes. Then, went to bed.

But 10 minutes is 10 minutes...

I rode my bike to work this morning. So, that is a mile. I will be doing at least 13-14 miles this evening. We will see how ambitious I get.

Still low carbing it today. Gotta get my body cleansed and droping the weight again! This is ridiculous. I am calling for another fill today.

That should help.

--Love ya ladies and have a great Monday (ugh, is THAT possible??)

mondays...:faint:

Good monday morning - since the club is closed on mondays I am wearing my new size 12 jeans... oh yeah I'm loving it. Something is happening with my body, the weight isn't dropping off, I'm still slowly losing, I was 178 this morning, so thats still only about a lb a week but I feel thinner. I'm thinking all the walking I'm doing (4 miles a day) must be building some muscle or something. I think I'll measure myself tonight - last time I measured I think I'd lost like 10 inches off my belly. So yesterday I slide into my size 12's and come out feeling it and bragging about them and dh says they're too tight aren't they? GRRRRRRRRRR - I said ya know why can't you just for once say wow hon they look great, my youngest daughter says he's smiling while he says it mom. I know he thinks he has to make those asshole remarks to tease but dang it brings all the insecurities up. Before I lost the weight I thought wow to be a size 12 is like a dream come true, and when I see someone else in a size 12 I think they look great, but on me, as much as I'm loving it, I still feel fat. I guess I should explain about dh, he does compliment me more and more but for years he made me feel fat and sloppy, he never would say it but he made those snide comments. This year he's been telling me what a nice butt I have and when he came home the other day he said theres my pretty girls (the dogs) and theres my pretty wife, so he's not all bad.

Enough about me.. for now. :)

Boo and Bman - girls take care of yourselves, take ALL your meds and drink plenty of fluids. Everyone around here has had the colds so I'm taking zicam or airborne to keep it at bay.

Bman - you're amazing with those low carbs - you and Kaydoll (whom I'm thinking is also mia) - I don't know how you do it. I really should try but .. nah .. its hard enough for me to keep track of my calories. And wtg on the bike riding. I love being outside too, which is why I think I loved x-skiing, it really breaks it up. I kinda feel its healthier to be outside breathing the fresh air too. I've been meaning to ask you, did you buy those teeny little jeans you tried on?

Banannie - let us know when you post in the yahoo group, I seldom go over and check it out but I can't wait to see your pics! When you went to the ps did they say if this is a Tummy Tuck or a skin removal? I thought there was a difference.

BK - I'm glad to hear you're walking with friends, it makes it so much easier to do when you have someone to talk with while your'e walking.

faith- hi girl! good to hear from ya! I've always thought you were from Maryland - the md - so are you a doctor? or are those just your intitals?

I think we're all so much alike - like faith said, I prefer to do things solo, I just like to get the lowdown before I share it with anyone and yet I'm very much a people person.

Ok back to me again.. so remember last winter I got the new floors, we tore the bar out and opened the kitchen and LR up? I was supose to get new countertops and dishwasher and never did. I went yesterday with my nephew (who works for a kitchen and bath place) and we bought all my new countertops and my dishwasher. He is tearing the old out tonight and said it'll only take him a couple evenings to do it all. Of course its not my dream kitchen, with granite counters and an island, but its still going to be nice to have extra space. I'm gaining 6 ft of counter space and 2 cupboards and what they call a cookie sheet cupboard - its only like 9". I'm really excited. Charlie, my buddy from work, says yeah you're excited today and tomorrow you'll be in here bitching that your kitchen is all tore up. LOL yeah probably.

Have a good day ladies - I love ya!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
