Anyone not take a Vitamin?

I've always taken a multi even before surgery. I got my bloodwork done recently and everything was spot on. I don't know how it would have been if I didn't take my multi. I don't take anything else though.

yep, i cant handle the huge Calcium citrate! plus i had kidney stones two weeks after surgery so im afraid to take it. Just haf my six month check in, and my first labs done, everything was fine including calcium, but my Iron was way below which wasnt surprising cause i tend to br anemic. as for looking at your goals, you will for sure meet your goal of 155! We are close in weight and i am at 158 and still losing even though very slowly its still coming off:) Good luck!

I take my Vitamins since I eat so little and can't eat enough to get it all in. I take a Flinstones multi with Iron twice a day and half of a Twin Labs Calcium once a day with food or after eating. I got sick the first time I took my Vitamin. My surgeon's office said to take them with food and space them out througout the day. Never had a problem since.

I should mention the Twin Labs is a bariatric calcium- so it is chewable. Not awesome tasting but it works.

I never did. I'm 7.5 months out.

My 6 month blood work came back and I'm super deficient. In everything. It sucks because I'm tired all the time now a days.

I would suggest getting on at the very least a multi. It helps in the long run, seriously

When I had my blood tests done my doctor said I don't need a Vitamin. She told me to take Vitamin d and folic acid. I live in canada so that is why I need the vitamin d.

You should take a small chewy multi at the very least.

My blood work was perfect at 3 months. And by 6, it all crashed.

I'm a big vitamin advocate now. I use to think that I'd be fine without, but I wasn't okay.

Since we can't eat out way to high levels of Vitamins anymore, multis and supplements are the only thing we can do.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
