Sleeve abroad
I live in Canada and had surgery in the US. My family doctor in Canada did all the follow up care. My surgeon suggested I have the vertical sleeve because there fewer problems with that surgery, and follow up is easier. You need to make sure you have a doctor where you live willing to look after you after the surgery and set it up before surgery. Best of luck.

How do you respond... Your loosing weight? What are you doing are you ok?
It depends on who is asking. Some people I tell I had the surgery, others I tell them I am watching what I eat.

5:2 intermittent fasting thread--open to all
I wouldn't recommend fasting til one is at least a year out from surgery. You need to make sure your body is healed and have had blood tests to make sure you are getting all your nutrients before you start fasting.

Weight watchers
One year out I have joined weight watchers. I find it helpful as there are no surgery support groups where I live. I don't follow the points too strictly, but I find the support and strategies for eating well helpful.
