  1. I live in Canada and had surgery in the US. My family doctor in Canada did all the follow up care. My surgeon suggested I have the vertical sleeve because there fewer problems with that surgery, and follow up is easier. You need to make sure you have a doctor where you live willing to look after you after the surgery and set it up before surgery. Best of luck.
  2. I went into Old Navy and forgot I no longer wear plus sizes.
  3. At a year out I can eat a very small piece of fish, but only a few french fries.
  4. You look great. I know how you feel. I have lost 110 and Still have 60 more to lose.
  5. It depends on who is asking. Some people I tell I had the surgery, others I tell them I am watching what I eat.
  6. This sounds so good. Thanks
  7. Thanks for the great recipes. I have yet to use my ice cream maker
  8. I wouldn't recommend fasting til one is at least a year out from surgery. You need to make sure your body is healed and have had blood tests to make sure you are getting all your nutrients before you start fasting.
  9. One year out I have joined weight watchers. I find it helpful as there are no surgery support groups where I live. I don't follow the points too strictly, but I find the support and strategies for eating well helpful.
  10. Sounds yummy
  11. Sounds delish
  12. That happens to me if I eat too much or too fast
  13. When I had my blood tests done my doctor said I don't need a vitamin. She told me to take vitamin d and folic acid. I live in canada so that is why I need the vitamin d.
  14. I was weighing by weight, but I realized if I did that with things like chicken it was too much food ,so I measure by volume.
  15. Wow. I am down108 lbs. weight loss has slowed I find it harder to stick with the plan. That said I have averaged a pound a week for the last 16,weeks. I have not been getting much exercise. Got to work on that. Feeling fabulous. Need to post pictures
  16. I had surgery July 2012 a year ago. I am ni longer diabetic but my doctor is keeping me on metformin twice a day. She said that once you are diabetic your pancreas has been affected and therefore she says I will continue to need Metformin.
  17. Dont be in a hurry to exercise strenously. You have had major surgery. I too felt like I could do more after the surgery but it is best to listen to your doctor.. You need time to heal.
  18. It will get better. Hang in there.
