    Sleeve abroad

I live in Canada and had surgery in the US. My family doctor in Canada did all the follow up care. My surgeon suggested I have the vertical sleeve because there fewer problems with that surgery, and follow up is easier. You need to make sure you have a doctor where you live willing to look after you after the surgery and set it up before surgery. Best of luck.

Thanks for the great recipes. I have yet to use my ice cream maker
  14. I wouldn't recommend fasting til one is at least a year out from surgery. You need to make sure your body is healed and have had blood tests to make sure you are getting all your nutrients before you start fasting.

    Weight watchers

One year out I have joined weight watchers. I find it helpful as there are no surgery support groups where I live. I don't follow the points too strictly, but I find the support and strategies for eating well helpful.

I had surgery July 2012 a year ago. I am ni longer diabetic but my doctor is keeping me on metformin twice a day. She said that once you are diabetic your pancreas has been affected and therefore she says I will continue to need Metformin.

    Gym and food

Dont be in a hurry to exercise strenously. You have had major surgery. I too felt like I could do more after the surgery but it is best to listen to your doctor.. You need time to heal.
