Can you take protein bars on a plane?
Yes you can. I have also traveled with protein powder in ziplock bags measured by portion and a drink cup to add water to and make my own protein drink. I flew home three weeks after surgery.

Does anyone never weigh?
I am 11 months out down 105 lbs. and have been weighing myself twice a day. I don't find this to be helpfyl as my weight will fluctuate during the day. I joined weight watchers for help and decided today to only weigh myself weekly at the meeting. By doing this I can focus on my behavior and not drive myself nuts about what the scale says. I also know that if I stick to the plan I will loose weight.

Recovering alone?
I don't have kids and I had an extremely easy recovery, However for a few weeks I would get completely exhausted and have to stop everything and lie down. This would happen with no warning. Because of this I would not have been able to care for a child let alone lift one. Good luck, I am sure you will find a solution.

Foodie question
I am able to tolerate them. However I find I can only eat a very small portion and then I am full and can't eat anything else. I prefer to eat protein which is more filling and more satisfying for me.

I AM 82 LBS DOWN AND STILL LOOK THE SAME
I have lost 85 pounds, and I can see the change, but still look very big to me. I saw someone today who looks like she weighs what I did, and that helped me see how much smaller I am than I was.
